So Far, So Good

KC is now at home, digging in her closet to find a very comfortable outfit to wear for her first actual date with Abby. She gets a text. It was from Abby. 

"Hey, KC. I don't feel good tonight, I hope I didn't upset you. We can reschedule the date, how about tomorrow night at 8?"

KC was upset that Abby had turned her down, she shook the thought away and texted her back.

"No, your fine. 8 tomorrow night sounds great. See you then!" 

KC sighed. Judy came in her room. "Why so down in the dump, kid?" 

KC looked up at Judy with tears in her eyes, she didn't want Judy to know what was going on. So she said, "Nothing, Judy. I'm fine."

Judy starred at KC. 

"Alright, whatever you say." she said as she left the room.

KC grabbed her phone and texted Marisa, her best friend.

"Hey, Marisa. Can you come over for a little bit? I need to talk to you."

she waited for a text. She went downstairs to see her family watching a movie. She snuck through the front door to find Marisa there already. 

"Wow," she said, shocked. "That was quick."

Marisa smiled and patted a seat next to her, "Yeah," she said, giggling. "Too quick but sit down come talk to me, KC." KC sighed and took a seat next to Marisa. "Marisa," i started to say. "Please don't tell anybody this. This secret is between me and you." Marisa nodded in agreement. KC took a deep breath and said, "I'm gay and I have feelings for Abby." 

KC looked at Marisa, She seemed shocked, "W-Wait... You're... How?" Marisa stumbled on her words. "I thought you liked Darien." KC sighed. "I thought so too, But when Abby came into my life. Everything just... it changed." Marisa got up. KC looked at her. 

"I went to Abby's house the other night." KC started to say. "And I told her i wanted to have dinner with her and talk with her about how i feel. But she texted me tonight and totally blew me off because she wasn't feeling good." Tears started to form in KC's eyes again. 

Marisa finally sat down, "Ohh.... KC." She gave her a hug and a pat on the back. "Was you going to tell her your gay and you have feelings for her?" KC nodded. "Does your parents know?" KC shook her head. "I don't think I'm ready to tell yet." Marisa nodded. "Understood."
