Wither

You see beauty in the sky

Only flowers grow around.

You are much greater than I

There is no beauty in me to resound.

I see death, destruction, and decay.

The beauty that was there

only fades away.

I like to see you happy

Your smile bright as a ray

Still, something deep inside me

wants that beauty to fade away.

My love is not something to cherish

I am not someone to adore

My only wish

Run away and shut the door.

I love you so much and so deeply

When you look at me so sweetly

It makes me shiver

More than a sliver

Become ugly like me

Never go away

And I know

And I see

Don't show your smile to me.

Under your light...

I wither.
