Before you, my sky was black.
There wasn't a single star noticeable in it.
I was surrounded by an infinite void of darkness.
The world around me was lifeless.
But then there was you.
You were first a tiny star which expanded fiercely and became my sun.
You lit up my earth, made the hard ground soft between my toes and made the tidal waves gentle instead of the rough tsunamis I was used to.
The cold that would cut my face and bruise my skin became warm and welcoming.
There was life.
Trees sprouted inside my skin and my dark veins became light rivers.
My gray view on life became black and white—there is love and there is hate. And with you, God, there is only ever love.
