There was something I always enjoyed about the sound of the rain against the windshield of your car. It’s as if each drop of rain that plummets down onto the car tells a different story of how something so beautiful can easily fall to its death in a matter of seconds.  Nights like these are best for relaxation and tranquility. My partner, Britt, makes this night all the more quiet and relaxing.

I see her through the soaked windshield. She’s inside of Motnie’s diner more than likely ordering something healthy ever since she switched over to the healthier conscious lifestyle and gave up eating meat all together. She has her moments to where she still gets upset whenever she’s craving but she’s gotten a lot better with controlling herself.

I’m sitting inside of our unmarked squad car listening to some news from the feed in order to make sure this quiet stays just that, quiet. So far there’s nothing but petty thievery happening which has been increasing, regrettably, ever since Zuck moved out of play. I try not to let my mind too much wander about it… Hell, I try not to let my mind wander about anything too much that doesn’t have to do with the feed.

Through the store windows I see Britt mouthing the words ‘thank you’ to Montie as she bows and heads back to the car. I can’t help but smirk and think of how someone like her gets into the detective business.  She was one of the most popular members of the feed but I guess everyone gets tired of it eventually. Lord knows I did.

She opens the door and quickly slides in with her food inside of a box, she sits it in the back seat and glances my way for a second before facing forward again, “This is the fourth restaurant this week, whoever it is that’s robbing these stores is becoming a real pain in my ass.” She said with a grimacing look. She’s probably on one of her craves, that would explain why she’s a bit groggy, “Turn the news up, Carl. We’re listening out for important information.”

>A. “Did you get me something?”

>B. Turn up the radio.

>C. Ignore her until she fixes her attitude.
