When I woke up, I was in a bed in a room that didn't  look familiar. I looked up with my eyes, and I saw bright light above me. Then, I actually felt my pain. It hurt a lot, but it stung on my shoulder. My head throbbed. I looked (with my eyes) to the walls around me. There were charts of the human anatomy and how to detect a heart attack. On the wall to my right there were papers full of words like 'burn,' 'scrape,' and 'broken.' There was a little table next to me with a picture of me and Brandon standing in front of his car. Then a man came  in. "Your'e awake," he said, " How are you doing?"
"Um...fine," I said, " why am I in the hospital?" " that is what I am here to tell you."  He said, his smile wasn't real anymore. He plastered on a smile that looked as if it were as real as he could make it. "Do you remember what happened last month?" He asked me, " When you were at the race with your boyfriend, Brandon?" " That was a month ago?" I asked, my eyes big. "Yes,"he told me, smirking at how oblivious I was to the situation," You just came to after a very important and risky surgery." He told me. "Wh-" *giant gasp. I got excruciating pain when I threw my neck foreword for dramatic effect. " Oh my gosh!!!" I screamed after feeling that pain. "Audrey?!" The man yelled, but not loud enough to where I could tell he actually cared. " He jogged to my hospital bed, "Are you okay? Don't jolt your head so much." He told me. Another nurse was apparently standing near, because she heard the man yell. "I'll take care of it." She said. " Are you sure?" He asked. " Yes! I've got it Dr. Burgess!" He put his hands up like he was getting arrested and walked out of the room. The nurse rolled her eyes. " I'm sorry about him. He can be difficult sometimes. I'm nurse Parks, but you can call me Samantha." I try to smile, but my face won't come out of s grimace. As if to read my mind, she said " don't worry I can see it in your eyes." She smiled. I like her a lot better than Dr. Burgess.
