Rin Okumura is the main main character in the action anime Blue Exorcist. He has a fraternal twin brother named Yukio Okumura. They are the sons of Satan. Their mother was a human who died at childbirth. Yukio, He was underdeveloped so he didnt get his fathers powers. They were raised by the most powerful Exorcist in the land. Growing up Rin didnt know about his powers, Yukio did though. That is because when they were born Rin gave his brother a mashou. Which is basically when a human sees a demon for the first time ever. It enables them to see demons for the rest of their life. Yukio began training to become an exorcist at age of seven.
Rin found out about him being a demon at the age of fifteen when he was attacked by another demon because he knew that Rin was Satan's son. That is when his adoptive father showed him the sword that concealed his true self in the second episode. Unfortunately, Shiro, his father, was killed after being possessed by Satan.
