Ashley Cooper^

Ashley's POV
Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm blared at exactly 5:30 in the morning. I groaned before I threw the blanket off and set my slilpered feet onto the hardwood floor of my bedroom. I walked to my closet and wondered what I should wear for the first day of senior year.

Maybe a dress would look nice.

Or a pair of shorts and a tank top.

I stood for a few more moments before deciding on a pair of light blue jean shorts, a lime green tank top, light denim vest and a pair of white wedges. I sat at my desk and started on my hair and makeup.

I pulled out my bag and began working on my face. I applied a heavy layer of foundation first and then moved on to my eyes. I decided on a nice pale green base with a more vibrant green on the outside wing, and white on the iner tear duct. I applied 3 coats of 3 different brands of mascara, and a heavy winged eyeliner. Finally I applied a few strokes of a pale pink lip stick. As for my hair, I decided to leave my wavy brown hair in its natural state.

As I examed myself in the mirror I grinned, grabbed my bag and headed out my door and Intl the kitchen.

My dad left my mom when I was only 4 so I don't know much about him. My mom is a lawyer so she is rarely home and to make up for never seeing me she makes sure I get everything and anything I ask for. Of course I miss her but there isn't much I can do.

I sighed as I realized that today is another day that she isn't here. I open my cubard and grabbed a granola bar before grabbing my bag and heading out the door.

As I walked into the school I saw my group of girls standing near the front. Grinning I walked up to them and my best friend Stacy squealed. Stacy had long black hair, that cascaded down her back in loose curls, clear blue eyes and a few freckles that dotted her nose and jaw. Today she wore a pair of black jean shorts, and neon pink croped top that had the word 'YOLO' written on the front, and a pair of black wedges. She decided to pair her outfit with a black designer bag and black leather jacket.

"Ashely!! Oh my gosh it's actually senior year!!" Stacy screeched as I approached. I held out my arms and squeezed her tightly and briefly before letting go. "I know!!" I echoed before I saw Jessica walk to her locker.

Jessica had long dyed red hair that flowed down her back. She had the clearest and greyest eyes and the sweetest face. The only problem? I hate her. And she hates me. I smirked as she looked behind her and noticed me staring. I nudged Stacy and lifted a perfectly manicured nail and pointed at Jessica. "Look at her outfit" I whispered to Stacy who grimaced as she saw what Jessica was trying to wear.

She had on a pair of grey skinny jeans, a red hoodie and a pair of red converse. "Who wears that?" Stacy scoffed and an idea popped into my head. Why do I bully her? You'll see.

"Hey Jessie!!" I squealed as I approached her, Stacy on my tail. She turned around to look at me, and she flinched and carried on putting her stuff in her locker. "I was wondering why your hoodie was wet." I said looking at her completely dry hoodie.

She furrowed her eyebrows before glancing down at her hoodie. "What? My hood-" she started but was cut off when I grabbed Stacy's cup of coffee and poured it over her head, the liquid seeping into her hair, and hoodie.

I smirked and stalked off as her eyes filled with tears. When I arrived back to my locker with my girls, Stacy grinned. When I turned around I smirked and pointed at Jessica, who was walking to the washrooms with tears in her eyes.
"Good job Ashley" Stacy said with her arms outstretched. I giggled and hugged her "Thanks Stacy" I said before I turned and stalked to my class as the first bell rang

As the bell rang for lunch I grabbed my papers and stuck them in my bag, before I walked out the door. On the way to lunch I caught sight of Cody. Smiling I walked up to him, and was met with a sight I didn't like. He was standing there comforting her. He had his arms wrapped around her in a hug as she whispered something and a few tears slipped down her cheeks. I scoffed silently, she was to easy to break. If you hadn't guessed, it was Jessica.

"Hey Cody" I said smiling as he turned and smiled back. Jessica and I locked eyes, before I decided what I wanted. "Jessie, can I talk to you for a minute...?" I asked shyly, adding in a light blush and darting my eyes downwards for effect. I looked up under my lashes and whispered "Alone..?" She looked at me oddly for a few brief moments before nodding and bidding farewell to Cody. I blushed again before troting off after her. Once we turned the corner my act vanished, and a glare etched its way onto my face.

"Listen here Jessica," I said venom dripping from my voice. "You are going go stay away from Cody," I stalked forward as I said this and she shrunk against the wall. "Because I want him, and he will be mine got it?" I snapped.

I turned and began to walk away when I realized something. "Oh and by the way..." I said looking over my shoulder, locking eyes with her and smiling sweetly, "when were around him, both of us, we act sweet. Got it?" I paused again, and she swallowed before nodding briefly and breaking eye contact. I smirked and flipped my hair back over my shoulder and began to walk to the lunch area.

"Good"
