There it was. A simple white apartment building at the very end of the small town "Hawley" I called my new home. The building itself looked new and quite modern - what a surprise in a town with not more than 1000 habitants. Unfortunately it was a incredibly hot and dry day so that my white tank clung onto my body and small sweat beads were on my neck. I couldn't stand the extreme heat, yet I had to move to Massachusetts. I needed a new beginning after all those horrible months..
I just turned 18 and I got a Scholarship -not that I needed one- for Williams College. It was the best place for studying Arts and since that was my passion and I needed to get as far away from California, I just tried to get in and I made it.
With a last sigh I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, grabbed my red leather purse and made my way over to the building. I knew I had to share the apartment with two roommates -Riley and Parker- we've never seen each other before but I know the two were Juniors and I was the Freshman. I instantly hoped the girls were nice and we would hang out a lot. I left my best friends back in Cali but I just could not deal with my life anymore..
To my surprise the building had an elevator and as lazy as I was on this summer day I took it. Looking up at the numbers on the doors I was getting nervous and began nibbling my lower lip. What if they didn't like me? Or worse what if their plan was to do anything mean to get me out of the aparment? Stop thinking you idiot! They'll like you and they don't have a reason to hate you!
"God why don't they have air conditioning? I'm so hot!" I exclaimed furiously as I sensed a sweat bead on my forehead. "That you are!" I shrieked but before I could fall to the floor two strong arms held me up. "What the fuck? You fucking scared me!" I came face to face with a smirking guy -piercing green eyes and black bed hair- looking me deep in the eyes.
"You should take care of where you spend your precious time, Babe." "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him - confusion written on my face.
"This area is not safe for pretty girls, you know?" "Um, excuse me" I ripped his arms off of me and stepped back. He kind of creeped me out..
"I gotta go now!" Before I knew it he winked at me and yelled "See you later sexy!" Yup, definetly a creep.
I quickly knocked on the door and waited impatiently, just wanting to take a shower and take a nap after the exhausting day. After 5 minutes still nobody answered the door. How awesome! I don't have a freaking key, yet! I started banging on the door now, hearing loud male voiced coming from the stairs. I don't know why but the things the guy said a couple minutes ago really got to me and I started worrying..
"Is someone there? Please open that door! It's Harley the new roommate!" I let out a frustrated sigh and slid down the wall. Fuck this!
The noises got louder and then 3 guys made their way towards my new apartment. They were all well built and tanned and were laughing over some sexist joke one of them had told. Typical men! Suddenly the one with dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes spottet me.
"Well, hello there. I didn't expect the stripper to be over so early." "Pardon?" I quickly stood up, confidence building up inside me, and was glaring daggers at him. "Did you just call me a stripper?"
"Oh Cam now you've got a problem!" "Damn she's one kind of a woman!" My mouth fell open and I was seriously shocked. Don't they have any manners? And how old are those Pervs? Maybe the guy was right and maybe I was in the wrong building. That it is! That's probably why the girls didn't open the door.
"What are you doing here then, Sweetheart?" a guy with golden brown eyes and blackish hair asked. "Um.. Do Riley and Parker live here?" "Sure, that's why we're here. They're getting a roomie today. What was his name again?" he looked at his mates thinking about the name. "WAIT A SECOND.. I am Harley the new roommate and I am not male." "Obviously you're not." the last guy said checking me out with lust-filled eyes. Gross!
"Holy shit.. You're a girl?" Cam, I guess, exclaimed. "That is awesome." They all started laughing and giving each other high fives while I was standing there, wide eyed, looking lost.
"I'm sorry we didn't introduce us. I am Cam, this idiot there is Tyler and that blonde fucker is Benson" Benson took out his phone and started calling someone. "By the way, Harley, it's Ben for short" he winked. He was really nice compared to Cam and Tyler that were just standing around with their beers and vodka and checking me out. I immediately felt uncomfortable in my short jeans shorts and the tight tank.
I hated it when someone stared at me. I mean I know I didn't look ugly with my wavy dark brown hair, that reached the middle of my back, the piercing aqua blue eyes and my olive skinned, toned body with the natural big breasts, yet I hated being the center of attention.
"Would you please stop staring at me?" I asked politely but all they did was laugh and shake their heads. Assholes..
"Dude get your lazy asses out of your fucking beds! We're waiting and so is your ROOMMATE" Ben underline the 'roommate' and winked at me playfully. That caused me to blush and I looked to my red painted toes before the door flew open and revealed a guy in boxers and a tank..
