Lucy huffed as she carried some decorations and things for the Fantasia parade out of the store doors. She tried to look around the giant pile of things, when a rolled up piece of cloth fell from the top of her stack. She quickly shifted everything over to her left side, and cought the fabric with her right hand.

Lucy let out a sigh of relieve when she got the giant pile studied in her arms. Lucy smiled and walked forward, assuming people would know to get out of the way. Lucy walked on the ledge by her house, smiling when the boat men called out to her.

"Be careful Miss Lucy!" One of the men shouted. Lucy smiled and replied.

"I always am!"

The boatmen quickly rode off, going in the opposite direction,as Lucy continued down the ledge. She smield to herself before she felt herself falling, and being surrounded by a sickening wetness. It didn't take her long to realize she had finally fallen.

Lucy looked around at all of the things under water, and began to collect them, before she noticed another hand come down and take a piece of fabric.

Lucy gasped as she reached the surface, taking deep breaths of air as she set down the materials on the side of the river. She coughed, getting some water out of her lungs, before the same hand was aimed at her.

"Here." Lucy heard a gentle voice speak. Lucy, blinded by her hair in her face, willingly took the strangers hand and was pulled up to the ledge.

Lucy stood up,and ruffled up her hair before looking at the person who had pulled her out of the river. It was a man,not much older than her. He had long green hair, with lightning bolts at the top like ears. On his face he wore a smile ,as he watched Lucy dry out her hair.

"May I introduce myself," The man spoke, smiling as he held his hand out for Lucy to shake. "My name is-" "Freed Justine...You're a member of Fairytail, right? The....Thunder Legion!" Lucy said, interrupting Freed,as she stuck her hand out to shake his.

"That I am,and you are Lucy Heartfilia of Fairytail." Freed said, flashing Lucy a friendly smile.

"That I am. I see we have a few things in common!" Lucy said, motioning to Freed's guild mark.

"Ah,yes. I suppose we have more than we thought." Freed said, giving a small laugh as he looked at where Lucy had her Fairytail mark.

"Anyways,I have to get this to Fairytail for the Fantasia parade. Are you going?" Lucy asked, picking up the materials in her arms.

"No...Not this year..." Freed sighed, picking some materials up with Lucy. Freed gave Lucy the materials.

"Here. Let me carry some of these..." Freed began, before Lucy cut him off.

"No,no, I'm fine. I got it." Lucy said smiling as she began to walk again towards the guild.

"Are you sure,Lucy?" Freed asked, concern lacing his voice.

"Don't worry about it!" Lucy giggled as she said it.

"Alright....At least let me a company you?" Freed asked Lucy.

"Sure! I always love company! Unless you break into my house..." Lucy said, earning a slight laugh from Freed. The two walked towards the guild, laughing and sharing stories amongst the way.

Lucy smiled as she approached the guild doors. Lucy had been talking with Freed, and the two had already become close.

"Freed I can't thank you en-" Lucy stopped as she didn't see Freed anymore.

"Freed?" Lucy called out ,before sighing when she saw no signs of the man. Lucy walked into the guild to be met with a table to the face, knocking down the fabric and Lucy.

"Lucy!" Erza yelled,quickly rushing over.

"Hey Erza..." Lucy said, wincing as she sat up,still sitting on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Erza asked, panic spread across her face.

"I'm fine. My butt hurts though..." Lucy said, sighing as she slowly began to once again pick up the pieces of fabric.

"I-I- U-Uh..." Erza stuttered, before rushing to help Lucy pick up the pieces.

"So,how was your day?" Erza asked, carrying some of the fabric over to Mira with Lucy. Erza started to drink a glass of water, when Lucy spoke again.

"Good. I met Freed!" Lucy said with a smile as she set the materials down on the counter. Lucy jumped at the sound of smashing glass, before the guild went quiet.

"You what?" Erza asked, looking down at Lucy with wide eyes, ignoring the broken glass.

"I met Freed...He helped pull me out of the river when I fell in. He seems really nice!" Lucy said.

"Lucy, you trust me right?" Erza asked, concern spread across her face.

"Of course!" Lucy said, smiling up at Erza.

"I want you to stay away from Freed. He's dangerous, and can't be trusted. Okay?" Erza said, her tone a harsh sort of seriousness.

"O-....Okay..." Lucy said sadly.

"All right. Let's start making those outfits!" Erza said, smiling as the guild cheered.

Lucy sat at her desk, writing a note to her mom,as usual. She was upset at Erza for making her stay away from Freed. Freed hadn't done anything wrong. He was nice to her,and hadn't done any damage,so she didn't get why Erza didn't like him.

"Are you okay? I saw you get hit with that table..." Lucy heard a voice speak from her window. Lucy set down her pen calmly and looked down at the note sadly.

"Erza said I shouldn't talk to you..."Lucy said,sighing.

"Has she ever stopped you before? I know how you feel about her,Lucy. Its clear you have feelings for Titinia." Freed said, coming over and giving Lucy a hug. Lucy hugged back before replying.

"I don't know how to tell her...She....I don't want to lose her as a friend." Lucy said, frowning at the thought.

"Don't you worry Lucy. I'm positive she loves you too." Freed said, smiling reassuringly to the girl. Lucy smiled at Freed.

"Thanks Freed...You're a good friend."
