Chapter 2

Scarlet's Pov~

"What the hell!"
I whispered to myself and gasped at the sight in front of me.

He was walking towards our way; I guess he is 6 feet 2 inches tall,
wearing a greyish black suit which showed off his perfect broad shoulders. His mesmerizing green eyes is damn captivating, his jet black hair is combed and well-kept in style which gave him a dreamy look, like he is a model posing for a magazine and advertising for a suit company. When he reached more nearly towards us, I noticed a light stubble beard on his face.

Wow! I like that, oh my god! I am completely checking him out. I should stop it. He is my boss.

"Good Morning Sir." Mrs. Madeleine greeted him with a smile.

"Good Morning Maddie." He replied with a curt nod and walked ahead.

I couldn't even greet him as he just walked off ahead and I just stood there watching his retreating back.

Mrs. Madeleine was now walking alongside with him and updating with few things and I just stood there not knowing what to do.

Then I thought it's better to hurry up and follow their footsteps so I walked inside. The office was huge and all of the employees were busy and engaged in their work.

There was a hallway ahead which led me to another section of the office. Again a young girl was standing behind a reception desk which is in the center and she is busy writing something in a register book.

As I approached her she looked up at me and smiled.

"Scarlet." Mrs. Madeleine called me out from the right side and I turned towards her.

"Oh dear I am so sorry I left you behind. Come I'll take you to Mr. Pearce. He is waiting for you." She said apologetically and guided me towards the right side of the hallway. As I was passing through I saw two rooms on both the sides, all having glass doors. Straight ahead there was again a big glass door which had a name plate written in bold letters as CEO.

She knocked on the door twice and we both entered inside. I took a deep breath and looked up towards him and his office room.

He was sitting in his plush black chair reading documents. His table was a mess as it had a lot of papers, files etc. and also a computer placed right in front of him. What caught my eye is behind his sitting area. He had a large glass window and the view is breathtakingly amazing. You can see all the giant commercial buildings of top multi-millionaire's club but the most beautiful view for me is the clear blue sky.

"Sir, she is here." Mrs. Madeleine informed him with small smile.

"Good morning Miss Reeves. Welcome to Pearce Industries. As a start you can get a coffee for me. All the rules and works will be informed to you by Maddie. Maddie do show her office and introduce her to what she has to do. And after that you can come to me, I will give you rest of the day tasks."
He just said all these things without looking at me while I stood there and nodded in response.

"Miss Reeves I didn't receive an
answer from you." This time he said while looking at me.

"Yes Sir." I answered him obediently. But his gaze just made me shiver a bit.

"Good. You both may go now." He said and got back to work.

We both left his cabin and as we walked towards our cabins I saw the same rooms which we came across a while ago, the left side one is my own cabin while right side one is Mrs. Madeleine's. So we first took a look inside my room. It's smaller than my boss's cabin. That is so obvious.
