I looked deep into the sunset, Mt. Ebott and my city on its side. I hadn't seen this in so long...
"Well, Frisk..." Toriel said, pulling me from my thoughts. "What will you do now?" I had answered this question many times. I couldn't bare to say I had somewhere to be, even though I wanted to see my mom and dad.
"I want to stay with you." I smiled the smile I always gave. Toriel grinned. The same one. Nothing changed since last reset.
After a surprisingly small amount of time, Toriel got a small house near the city. I lay in my bed, pretending to sleep. I couldn't, a force wouldn't let me move into the next day.If I can't be happy, you can't either...
A girls voice said. The last sliver of orange light disappeared as Toriel shut the door. A girl sat in the corner of my dark room. She was only a shape, but the small amount of moonlight showed some features. Her eyes and mouth were red, dripping like blood.
I gasped. "Wh-who are you?" I whispered. "You don't remember me?" The voice from my head was hers. I shook. I did remember her... "Chara..." I whispered, quieter than before. Chara from when I killed them all.
"You will NEVER have your happy ending!" She screeched, but I felt that only I could hear it. Chara began to breathe heavy. "You will NEVER have fallen!" The room flashed, and everything disappeared.
It was only me and Chara.
"I love Asriel..." She said quietly. "But I will never get to see him again!" The reset button hovered behind her. She grabbed it and pushed it towards me.
"Make your decision, Frisk, make it now!" I glared at her. "Nothing will happen, Chara, nothing will change. It never has, and you know it won't!" Chara smiled her evil, bloody smile.
"P R E S S T H E B U T T O N!" Her inhuman screech... Like nails in a chalk board, or a thousand birds screaming. My soul glowed in front of me. Chara glared at it hungrily. I held it defensively. Then I made my decision. I rested my hand on the reset button. I wasn't looking forward to this, I truly didn't care.
The world whitened around me. Chara's bloody grin remained. "NOTHING WILL CHANGE!" I yelled to her over the deafening roar that didn't exist.
I waited for the light to fade before I opened my eyes. I learned not to look when it was still there, I almost went blind!
But I clenched my fists, expecting to feel soft, yellow flowers. To smell dust and buttercups.
But no... I smelled...Nothing.
The smell was so familiar, it was nothing. My empty hands never held flowers.
They held a warm, soft quilt.
I think it's time to open my eyes... When I did, I didn't see the large broken pillars, the big flower bed, the sunlight above.
I saw posters on a wall and pictures of my friends. I saw my room.
