Ezra woke up in sweaty, hot state in her small apartment, her alarm clock ringing none stop; her short length curly hair stuck her forehead and she was pretty sure where she was sleeping was sideways on her bed.
But today was going to a great day.
She was hired and she didn’t have to go another week doing odd jobs; most of which were either spend packaging food or babysitting kids. She pulls on her pjs and hops into the shower, continuing to cleanse herself. She puts on her favorite cream polka-dot dress and her brown sandals; the news said today was hot, hopefully they were right; the woman slips on her straw hat and aces down the stairs so she could catch the bus on time.
"I'm sorry I'm late; the buses weren't on top of their game today," She walked in and was greeted by the little boy she'd only met a few month or two before.
"Miss S-Sara!" He launches onto her and she picks him up; he was such a small kids for his age. He was six but he weighed like he was a toddler. He could say her name- well, only her last name.
"What would you like to do today Minho?"
"Read with Sara," He replies as the front door gets knocked on, an older man at about thirty stands at behind the glass door.
looks at him surprised; "Hello Miss Choi didn't say anyone was coming today," His curly hair is parted down the middle, dark eyes smile at her.
“She didn’t say she wouldn’t have beautiful woman here either, your name?”
“Ezra. Ezra Cera,”
“In-Su, nice to meet you.”
Minho twisted it her arms before glaring at the man. He stutters out an angry jumbled mess of words.
“Minho! Sssh, everything’s fine. I’m sorry, he was happier earlier,”
“My son, Ha-neul about the same, he’s only a little louder,” She laughs and grins while she rocks the small boy, who’s started to calm down.
“It seems I wasn’t informed she wasn’t here; hey, before I go, would you like to go out to see to the Han River sometime?”
With her eyebrows raised, Ezra, smiles shamelessly.
“Are you asking me out a date?” In-Su laughs, shoving his hands into his pockets and he glances at the floor.
“I guess so, it depends on if you’ll come or not.”
She bits her top lips, thinking if she shoulder agree or not. “Sure,” They exchange numbers and he takes his leave. Ezra with Minho in arms carries him upstairs for the rest of the day.
