As I walked home from the grocery store late at night I heard footsteps behind me. I didn't mind to much as I just minded my own business and strutted along the path. I had my hand in my bag ready to pull out the gun if he tried to pull something on me.
He would quickly come behind me wrapping his around around my throat, I pressed the gun under his chin and hissed, "Try me."
"Holy shit lady, you're crazy!" He moved away and started to run. I shot at him a few times and went to hid the body somewhere in the woods nearby. No one will find out. I kept on my way home. All the damn time! People are just trying to do something to me. Don't they know not to mess with me.
As I reached my house and put my gun away and walked in dragging my feet as I entered. I bit my lip and put the bag onto the kitchen table. No one was home around this hour (except my bro) since my parents had work. They always have work and are pretty much are never here to raise me.
I climbed up the many stairs and got to my room about 4 minutes after I got there my little bro bursted through. I jumped at him and stared. "What is it?" He climbed into my bed and got into the covers. "There's someone in my room." I narrowed my eyebrows and shook my head.
"Stop. You're not some little baby anymore, you're 11." He whined and protested at what I had said. I sighed in defeat, "Fine. Stay here and be quiet. I'll check if someone is actually there."
I walked to his room and switched the light on. As I seen no one I rolled my eyes and walked back to my room.
"As suspected 'lil bro. There's no one in there, but if it makes you feel better you can just stay in here while I do some homework. It's late and I have no idea why you're up anyway. But in conclusion, sleep." I sat at my desk and got some things out of my bag, starting on my homework I yawned.
About an hour later my bro was asleep, I got up and carried him to his room laying him in bed. I walked out and downstairs to the kitchen to get a quick drink.
I grabbed some grape juice because it's my favorite thing ever and I filled a big cup of it with ice. I grabbed some chips because why not.
I walked to my room and sat back down in my chair continuing to do my homework. The next thing I knew was that It was dark and then It was bright.
I got dressed then woke up my brother to get dressed as well and made him quick breakfast wishing him a good day as I left with my things.
After school I was making my usual way home, a black car pulled up and rolled down its window.
"Destiny?"
I froze to the sound of my name coming from an unfamiliar person, but I nodded anyway.
"Come with me." I rose an eyebrow. "Excuse you? I have no idea who you are and you don't know me-" he cut me off.
"Destiny. Age 17. Home of 2 parents and a younger brother. I know you and what you do when no ones looking. So will you please get in the car, and don't worry. We got your brother taken car of, he's safe."
I wasn't sure if I should proceed, I did anyway and got into the car, buckling up.
He started to drive and drive and drive. I had no idea who this guy was and how he knew me or how he knew my brother and I don't know if he's actually okay!
I looked around nervously and started to feel tired as night came, but I refused to sleep.
Who knew what this guy could do.
