It was getting late. Around 4:30. I wandered around the house for a while and the only thing I could possibly think about, was my birthday party. This is probably going to be the only birthday party i'm going to have, so i'm going to enjoy it.
I invited my best friend, Jake, along with some others that i'm pretty sure hate me, but its worth a shot inviting them. I started getting bored so I go ask my mom about the party.
"Hey mom! Did you get the stuff for the party?" I questioned. "You know the answer to that Red so dont even try asking again. Go chill out with your dad or something." She shouts. I walk away with my head down to make her feel bad about her decision. So I do what she says and I go out to the garage to hang out with my dad.
"Hey dad. Did you ask Jake's d-" I was interrupted."Hey Red! Look at this amazing machine I've been working on!" he says with excitement. "Oh yeah...that's... cool." I said walking back into the house. I walk into my room to go to bed. It was 9:00 already. Before going to bed, my dad walked in.
All he said was a goodnight and sweet dreams. He tucked me in although I don't need him to. You would think being 13 you would be able to do it yourself but my dad babies me. He turned off the light and closed the door behind him.
About 2 and 1/2 hours later, I see something fly past my window. I quickly get up to tell my dad. I told him about the thing that flew past my window. My dad never believes me, so i doubted him believing me. But surprisingly he did believe me. After a few seconds we heard a loud <boom>. This wasn't an ordinary boom. It was a big one... Something not everyone wishes to hear. After awhile I hear another one.
We figured with the two meteors we heard in the last 10 minutes, It was a meteor shower...
