CHAPTER 8!!!!
A/N: I am so sorry for the last chapter, and for this one. I am fighting a war with writer’s block and losing miserably! I hope you like it anyways! I tried to put some juicy details here, but I’m not sure how it turned out. Have fun with this!
**Katie-Anne’s P.O.V.**
Molly stopped the car in front of a huge Southern mansion.
“Welcome to my hoooooooome!” Molly sang.
“Holy shit! You live in a freaking MANSION!!!!!” I exclaimed.
“Thanks,” Molly laughed “come on inside!”
We walked through her front door, only to be greeted by a huge foyer.
“Wow..” I gasped.
Molly lead me to a kitchen, where a small woman was cooking something that smelled delicious.
“Hold on a sec, Katie, I have to let Mom know I’m here.”
I smiled. Nobody had ever shortened my name before.
My smile turned into a look of puzzlement as Molly knocked on the counter rather hard, and then tapped her mom on the shoulder. The woman turned to look at Molly. She smiled and hugged her. Mrs. Raynes then started moving her hands at a very fast pace, and it took me a minute to realize that her mother was using sign language.
Molly turned to me and started to translate, but I stopped her. I turned to her mother. I signed her my name, and how I knew Molly.
Mrs. Raynes’ eyes widened.
“You know sign language?” she signed.
“Yes. My mother and my dad are interpreters.” I answered.
“Very good! Now Molly won’t have to translate everything!” I noticed Mrs. Raynes had used Molly’s sign name.
“What did you call Molly again?” I asked, amused.
She did the sign name, and I started laughing. Molly’s sign name was the sign for loud.
“You named her well.” I smiled.
“HEY!!!!!” Molly said.
“Sorry, but it’s true!” I turned to Molly’s mom. “Do you read lips too?”
Mrs. Raynes nodded.
“By the way, call me Trish.” Mrs. Raynes signed. “It’s much easier to remember”
“I’d tell you my sign name, but I don’t have one!” I laughed. “I’m sorry my mother gave me such a complicated name.”
“I think Katie-Anne is a wonderful name!” Trish signed.
“Thank you, that’s very nice of you!” I smiled.
“You’re welcome, dear!” Trish signed.
“Come on, Katie! Let’s go to the loft!” Molly piped up.
“Loft?” I questioned.
“Yeah, come on!”
I followed Molly up the stairs and through a small door, which lead to a smaller staircase. We climbed the stairs, which lead to a huge room.
“Welcome to the loft!” Molly chirped.
“Omigod! I’m in love with your house!” I exclaimed.
“My mom likes you. She thinks you’re a sweetheart.” Molly randomly said.
“Uhm...okay...I guess? Thanks?” I mumbled.
