Chapter 2!

MASON

That was all I was thinking. I was sitting on the old turquoise couch with a blanket wrapped around me. I got here quicker than I thought so Mason should be here in 10 minutes. I can't believe Mason is my mate. I don't know how to react my childhood best friend turned into my bad ass body guard who hasn't had a serious relationship since well ever, now he's my mate. With all this thinking I got hungry so I went to the kitchen and looked around for something to eat. As I was trying to reach a bag of chips I felt arms make their way around my waist.

Kenzi-"Hey will you get those chips for me?"

Mason-"Of Course, here."

Kenzi-"Thanks."

Mason-" So what were you doing?"

Kenzi-"Watching T.V waiting on you."

Mason-"Oh, I wanna know something."

Kenzi-"Hm."

Mason-"What do you think about this?"

Kenzi-"What do you mean?"

Mason-"About us being mates."

Kenzi-"I don't really know. What am I suppose to think about it? Am I suppose to forget everything that has happened between us? If so I don't think I can do that. "

Mason-"I mean I know everything that has happened i do believe I was there."

Kenzi-"Nows not the time to be rude."

Mason-"I'm not trying to be but what are we suppose to do, I'm not ready for a mate."

Kenzi-"Why?"

Mason-"Doesn't matter. I have a birthday surprise for you."

Kenzi-"What? Nothings here."

Mason-"Not here let's go for a walk."

Kenzi-"Okay."

At first we walked in silence, but it was an comfortable weird silence though, then he pulled me into him, put his arm around my shoulders & kissed me on my cheek.

Mason-"You've always been one of my closest friends."

Kenzi-"It makes sense that we are mates."

Mason-"Don't ruin the moment. Just close your eyes, no peeking."

Kenzi-"I won't I promise"

After we went made a couple of turns you could hear a waterfall.

Mason-"Open."
