I wake up to the sound of beeping coming from my alarm clock. I get up and take a shower, then get dressed. On my way downstairs I can smell bacon and eggs my mom made. I sit down to eat breakfast. After breakfast I grab my backpack and head out the door. I get into my Jeep and drive to school. At a red light I see a boy my age next to me blasting music and dancing to it. I laugh and roll my eyes.

He rolls down the window and says, "Uh hi, I never did catch your name?"

I recognize him as the same boy from yesterday. "Hey, and it's Margret. What's your name?"

"Leo," he says, and smiles.

The light turns green, so I continue to drive toward the school. Once I get there I park in my assigned spot. I get out of my car and walk up to the school. When I get inside I head to my locker to get ready for morning classes. The announcements are about to start, so I head to my homeroom. The bell rings and the announcements begin. I stand quietly at my desk just like everyone else. We say the Pledge of Allegiance with the whole school and then the principal announces today's activities. Announcements end and class is about to begin. I walk to first period class, calculus. I sit with my friends near the back, on the left side of the classroom. My friends and I chat about homework, making sure we did everything right. The bell rings and class begins. We stop talking and take notes. After a little while of taking notes, Savannah taps me on the shoulder.

"I'm confused," Savannah whispers.

"Ok, I'll help you," I whisper back and show her how to complete the problem.

After helping Savannah I realize that I should continue to take some more notes. The teacher then puts up some problems to work on while she comes around to check our homework. I flip my notebook to the page I did my homework and take out a piece of loose leaf to do the problems that the teacher put on the board. I finish the problems on the board and continue to help Savannah, since she is still struggling a little bit. When I turn back around I see a piece of paper on my desk. I open it up and read it.
*Hi, are you free this weekend?*
Below the message I write *yes*. The bell is about to ring, so I leave the piece of paper on my desk for the person who wrote it to pick it up.
*Ring Ring*
I grab my books and head toward second period class. I sit in my old chemistry seat glad that we are getting new lab partners today.

"Class, please sit in your old seats until I finish saying everyone's new partners," the teacher says.

The teacher begins to announce the partners and where they are going to sit. I hear my name and after he's finished talking I get up and sit in my newly assigned seat. Leo sits next to me and I look down and smile, then look back up.

"Hey," Leo says to me in a whisper.

"Hey," I whisper back, giving him a small smile.

He smiles back a looks down at a piece of paper our chemistry teacher just handed out. I look down at my paper too, then write my name on it. I look at the title, it's a partner project on making a mixture turn from orange to clear.

"This will be interesting." Leo says reading over the instructions.

"Yeah, going from color to no color and using formulas to measure and mix ingredients." I say looking at the formulas we have to use.

"Let's mix lenoxide and aniox together to remove any chemicals from the beaker and we'll work from there." Leo says.

"Ok, and I'll work out the Hashich formula to find out how much we need to pour into the beaker." I say and then get to work.

"Cool," Leo picks up the pitcher with the correct chemicals in it and starts mixing. "Ok, got rid of all chemicals, besides the chemicals that are responsible for color."
