A Day Of Trouble

I've never put thought into making my life normal, because I was never normal, and neither were my friends. Speaking of them, let me tell you what kind of hotshots they are. First there's Riko, me and him met in 7th grade along with all my other friends, and we were both mischievous, we both stole and did bad things, and we were also into games. That brings me to John, he's also a gamer, he's a funny guy always there to make jokes out of the stupidest things, he's the type of guy to be a fast thinker, but has a slow acting personality. Together we all made the perfect team in being the bad kids. I don't know how but we just did.
"You just gonna sit there and keep writing that book all day?" John exclaimed. "Oh, yeah, I forgot." I replied in a slow tone of voice. I was sitting in the first seat on the third row of Ms. Chates class. I never did any work besides writing this one book, called High School. The book was important to me, but more important to the people who read it. Because not only was it a book of my life, but it showed others what and what not to do.
I got up from my seat slowly and walked outside of the classroom while Ms. Chates was finalising our grades for our progress report. I opened the door as slow as possible and crept outside into the hallway. Where were John and Riko? They couldn't have gone far, I know them, they always stay close to me whenever they need to. I walked towards the boys restroom just on the other side of the hall. I heard talking in there, a conversation between Riko and John. But before I could make out the words, they stepped out of the restroom and looked at me. "I was wondering when you were gonna find your way out of that rats nest!" said Riko. "Yeah, me too bro" John added. "Well I'm here now aren't I?" I said in a humorous tone. They both smiled and nodded and started walking with me to the gym. "Why are we coming here again?" Riko questioned. "Well, William stole my gym clothes a while back, and I got them, but now I'm repaying the favor." I replied. "So what are you gonna do?" John added. "I'm going to take his, and throw 'em in the toilet and dump bleach in there." I said in an sighing tone. We walked to the gym doors, I was the first to grab the cold metal handle and try to open it, but I had no luck. All of the other doors were locked, "What now, How do we get in?" Riko said. "Well there's nothing we haven't done, so we find the key, and get in, its simple." I said in a confident tone. "But where is the key?" John questioned. "We'll find it" I replied. There were 4 gymnasium keys. One went to each coach in our school and we only had 2 coaches. The other two do not have known places so those will have to be found fast. "Well, where are the coaches?" said Riko. "They will mainly be in the staff center," I replied. "And that happens to be where faculty items are located." We headed towards the dark staff center that was empty of people, all staff besides teachers where in the library in a small meeting til' 2:30. Me and my friends had a chance to find those keys. "Aren't the keys red?" John asked. "Yes." I replied. Again, my hand is on the cold metal handle, and debating whether to twist it or not, I don't want to find out that this door is locked too. But somehow I just went for it, and with a click, the door opened and the cold icy breeze of the room flew past us as we walked in. There was a file cabinet with the words "Staff Only" on it. "This has to be it!" I said quietly. John and Riko kept searching other cabinets and drawers just in case of me not finding anything. But I didn't have to worry anymore, the bright red key with silver scratches all over it was laying right under the library passes. "I got it!" I almost yelled. John and Riko came running towards me and we all left the staff office as soon as possible. We were running so fast that I swear a teacher could've heard our loud feet, but no one seemed to bother. We reached the gym and I unlocked the door so slowly that the sound was music to my ears, and payback was the food to my hunger.
