As the snow fluttered against my cheeks, I knew this was the end. I had been spotted and was now the target. Looking around I was able to accept my fate, that I would soon turn into these monstrous creatures that no one ever thought would appear. I analyzed each of these Biters, taking in their flesh embedded teeth, blood spattered hands, and ferocious eyes. Each one of them was prepared to tear away at me any minute. I stood there in the middle of the huge crowd...waiting, waiting for one to lunge. I thought back on my life, how I and the rest of the world had taken advantage of it. Sure the world could have been better and maybe not so corrupt, but I'm sure as hell no one wanted to be eaten away. We all took advantage of our family, the stupid and nonsense filled complaints we would all make. Now our homes have practically turned into cemeteries. I closed my eyes, let the knife fall, and surrendered to the dead. Crack. The sound of the gun shot zoomed past my ear causing me to flinch.
"Get back!" the mysterious voice hollered from behind. One by one the Biters went down, each with a bullet pierced through their head. Shocked and afraid I didn't move, then suddenly my right arm was tugged viciously causing me to fall to the ground. Now pinned I saw who, or should I say what was on top of me. A Biter had attacked me while I wasn't paying attention and was now trying to chow down my neck. He was strong and I knew I couldn''t keep him off much longer. The blood from their mouth dripped onto my face and I tried hard not to scream.
All at once the Biter went down, their brains splattering out of their skull and unfortunately onto my clothes. Immediately after the close encounter I had just had, a red haired human came to help me up.
"We have to go now!" This time I listened and swiftly got up on my feet, running as fast as I could, trying to keep up with this group I didn't even know.
