Chapter 3: Missing

Camille's POV:

   I noticed Lara going out of the room so I decided that I would follow her.

I saw her walking out of the building and going to the dock. She was walking so fast that I lost track of her. When I reached the docks I looked around and saw two ways. One was leading ahead and the other was going left.

I stood there hoping to find Lara. I wonder where she is. I looked around more and saw her at the left side talking to a man.

I gasped and quickly covered my mouth hoping she didn't hear it even if she was far away. I quickly hid myself so that she wouldn't see me.

I peeked at the corner and saw fighting with him. She looked really irritated. She was slowly backing up. Then she suddenly walked away from the guy. I wasn't able to hear them but from what t looked like they were fighting.

I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Lara going to my direction. I ran as fast and quietly as I could and went inside the room and pretended I have been here all along.

Few seconds later Lara came in and went back to the couch and just stared at her phone.

While the other girls were talking I went back to my thoughts and thought about that guy. He was really tall. I was certain that that guy wasn't one of the guys in the field trip.

Not long after our teacher came in and told us that we would have to sleep already since tomorrow we would have to leave.

We all groaned and went to our beds and sleep. I didn't want to think about it or else I wouldn't sleep at all. I just closed my eyes and slept through the night.

Lara's POV:

   When I woke this morning I got up and changed my clothes. After, our teacher all called us to enjoy the sight for a little while.

Me and Audrey were just chatting when Camille came and asked me if anything weird happened last night.

I just casually said no and I asked Audrey to lead me to the bathroom. She gladly accepted and went with me.

When we got there I washed my hands and waited for Audrey outside. While waiting I got a text again.

I opened my phone and was shocked that the number last night was the same one now. I had no choice but feel nervous.

I was too scared to read the text and I just accidentally dropped my phone from the shock.

I just stood there frozen. Until Audrey picked my phone up and said. "Lara, you should be careful. You can't always drop your phone."

She handed me my phone and I smiled at her. "Thanks. It just slipped." She rolled her eyes. "C'mon we might miss our bus if we stay here too long. "You go ahead. I left my watch in the sink."

"K. I'll be waiting for you with the rest." She waved at me and I went inside to get my watch.

As I went out and placed my watch on my wrist, I looked up and my eyes widen. A girl who looked as tall as me passed by. She was wearing a cap so I couldn't really tell. But she just looked like the girl in the picture.

I followed her secretly and checked if anyone saw me. I checked my watch and knew it was almost time that we would leave.

I still followed her. When she was walking to a balcony I noticed my classmates taking a picture. I needed to hide or the girl I was following would be in trouble.

Suddenly she stopped walking and turned back. Luckily I was able to turn back in time so that she didn't know I was following her.

Cara's POV:

   As I was walking to a group of people who seemed to be taking pictures I felt as if somebody was following me. I turned back to just see a girl who looked like my age who was texting so I was just paranoid.

I continued walking to the group of people but went to the back to water the plant at their back. I felt like I was going to photobomb their picture so I turned to face the camera accidentally and walk away when I was finish watering the plants.

Lara's POV:

   When I saw her walking towards my classmates I knew that they would not notice her since she was wearing a cap. I turned away and walked the opposite direction.

I needed time to think. I knew she was hat girl in the picture. I found out more than was should have happened today.

I ran as far away as I could as long as no one would recognize me. If that girl in my notebook is my twin or doppelgänger or whatever, one of us would be in danger since people who knows me or her will think I'm her or she's me.

I was so confused right now. I have too much in my mind. I walked outside the park and went around the province.

Audrey's POV:

   Once we were done having our picture taking. Our teacher made us sit down and check if we were all complete.

I looked around the area and saw Camille but not Lara. "Teacher!" I raised my hand so that I would get everyone's attention.

"Yes Audrey?" "Lara! I noticed that she isn't here." Then all of us started realizing it. "Only her?" "Ya!" One of the guys shouted.

"Alright. Everyone spread out and find her. Check your watches, after 30 mins. If u still can't find her go back to the bus and we'll talk there."

All of us nodded our heads and went around to search for her.

Camille: "Lara!"
Sam: "Lara!"
Tom: "Where are you, Lara!"
Rick: "C'mon Lara!"

Everyone was shouting her name but still we couldn't find her. After 30 mins. We all gathered back at the bus and we saw teacher talking to the security guards and the person whose in charge of this place.

After talking to them our teacher came to us with a worried face. "Children, calm down we will find her. I spoke to the guards to check the surveillance cameras."

"What will we do now sir?" One of the guys said. "For now go in the bus and wait but can Audrey and Camille talk to me."

They went in and followed our teacher while me and Camille were sent to talk with our teacher.

"So you don't know anything?" He said. "I'm really sorry sir. I just knew that before the group picture taking me and Audrey went to the bathroom then after she told me to go ahead since she ledt her watch inside."

"So? Did you check there?" "Yes"

"Ok, Camille did Lara act strange or did something weird lately?"

"Actually, yes sir." "What happened?" He crossed his arms. And I could tell he was worried. "Last night she left the hotel and I saw her at the docks. She was talking to some guy. I was too far away and I could tell they were fighting."

"Alright. Thank you for telling me this." Me and Camille now were sent back to the bus and waited until we heard news from our teacher.
