The door opened, revealing a rather pretty girl. His scent and his presence were still around her apartment. She let out a yawn as he slumped her Victoria's Secret Sport Gym Hobo Bag on her couch. She opened it and grabbed a white towel and used it to wipe the sweat off of her face. She let out a loud sigh as she walked to the kitchen island.

“Garry Bearry” Cara called out affectionately to her lover. She couldn’t help but smile to see him, shirtless, as Cara stole his shirt away from him before he could wear it himself. She smiled as her lover strolled to her, pulling her into his strong arms and embraced her. Her hands were on his chest as he pulled her in a sensual kiss.

She couldn’t help but smile at the bitter memory and miss those kisses. Passing by the ghostly hallucination, she went to the fridge and grabbed the carton of milk and chugged it down. She threw it at the trash can and mentally listed that she needed to buy more milk. She walked to the living room to grab her things and went to her room. Landing her bag on her bed, ghostly hallucinations appeared again.

Garrett sat on the bed, tired from his work out. Cara smiled whilst climbing on the bed as she hugged him from behind, propping her chin on his broad shoulder and wrapping her arms around his shoulder and waist. There was a loving smile on her lips as she kissed his cheek and the both of them laughed.

Cara closed her eyes as the ghostly hallucinations disappeared once again. Frustrated, she went to the bathroom and took off her clothes and dipped in her bathtub, letting the water relax her tired body. Closing her eyes, she slowly lowered herself in the water, entering the serene and calm world of water as she held her breath and let her mind relax.

“Babe! Can I join you?” She heard Garrett giggle making her smile automatically. She pushed herself up and looked at her side, realizing, she was alone.

She wiped the water off of her face and ran her hands through her hair as she took a deep breath. Taking a deep breath once again, bitter tears escaped her eyes. Sobbing softly, she hugged her knees. An explainable feeling was in her chest, it hurts so much, her heart. Lowering herself again, washing the tears away in the warm water, she sat up and grabbed a nearby blade from the counter. She pressed the blade against her wrist; she winced in pain as she cut the first line. Then the second. The third. Blood was gushing out as the clear water now turned reddish and pink. After washing her wound, stopping the blood, she stood up and went to the sink to brush her teeth.

Putting the toothbrush in her mouth, the ghostly hallucinations appeared again.

[Flashback]

Cara brushed her teeth as she heard the familiar click of the bathroom door. A half asleep Garrett was walking towards his sink. Before they moved in together, they picked an apartment with 2 sinks so they can brush together.

“Good Morning, Baby.” She smiled as she continued brushing her teeth.

Garrett shot his eyes open; there was a playful smile on his face. He lifted her up and sat her up on the marble sink. Grabbing his toothbrush as he applied toothpaste, he pushed himself closer to her as he brushed his teeth. The both of them giggling, she straddled him, making him come closer to her.

After the both of them cleaned their mouths,Garrett carried her off the sink and carried her bridal style to their bedroom.

[End of Flashback]

Cara tried to keep herself together as she brushed her teeth. After she brushed her teeth, she covered her wound and went to her closet, looking for her Hervé Léger Off-the-shoulder bandage dress in Black that covered her wrists, Christian Louboutin Boulimina 120 glittered-leather slingbacks and Tiffany & Co. Tiffany Soliatire Diamond Earrings. After dressing up, she applied at least a small amount of make up. She didn’t like makeup since Garrett didn’t like it; he told her that he didn’t want his woman hiding her natural beauty. She opened the drawer to look for her comb, when she pulled out her comb, a light clank was heard. Her eyes widened at the fallen jewelry. It was their couple rings.

2 rings, 2 simple rings that both of them bought together when they were shopping for jewelry 2 years ago. A lump appeared in her throat and swallowed hard. The ring, now lying on her palm, she couldn’t help but clench her fists as she held the ring. She had no reason to keep it, he was gone but she didn’t have the strength to throw it away cause, she thought, maybe he was gonna come back, standing in her doorstep. But that was impossible, he was gone. He was never gonna come back. And every damn day, she’d constantly have to tell herself that.

Placing the ring down the desk. She combed her hair, fixing her hair in place as she stood up. Memories of him were causing her migraine, she rubbed her temples, blinking away pain, if she doesn’t stop this, it was going to be the end of her. She went to the bathroom to take some Excedrin before she unconsciously walked over to the desk, wore her ring and grabbed her purse and put his ring inside the small pocket in her purse.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cara was supposed to meet her best friend today. She told her that she was gonna introduce her boyfriend to her. She was a bit excited and happy for her best friend. She was always telling stories about him when she and her best friend were together but never once she mentioned his name. She told Cara that it was a surprise, so when he introduces him to her, it’ll be more mysterious.

Cara arrived at her friends’ apartment. They were supposed to have dinner. She pressed the doorbell and put on a smile, covering her miserable insides.

“Hey! Cara! I’m so glad you could make it!” Jourdan, her best friend chirped as they hugged. “You look pretty!” She commented as they went in.

“Thanks you look pretty too!” She smiled back as she sat on the couch and looked around. “So… Where is he?” She smiled.

“Wait, I’ll call him.” She smiled as she entered his number without going to her contacts. She recalled the times when she would call or text YunHo cause she already memorized his number.

“Baby!” Jourdan smiled.

The voice was faint but Cara heard it, nonetheless. “Baby, I’m almost at your building. Wait for me, ok?” The voice was cheerful.

“Ok! See you soon! I love you!” She giggled.

“Of course, princess. I love you too!” The man said as they hang up.

“You guys are so sweet!” Cara teased.

“I know right? He’s so much sweeter in person.” Jourdan giggled.

Then after a few minutes, the doorbell finally rang. The both of them stood up, Jourdan opening the door and she, fixing her hair and her dress. The smile on her face faded as she caught the sight of something utterly cruel.

“Oh! Cara! Nice to see you again!” He smiled as he held his hand out.

“Likewise,” She spoke out without sounding like she was ready to fall apart at the moment. She shook his hand but quickly pulled away when Garrett spotted their couple ring on her finger.

“You guys know each other?” Jourdan asks, shocked.

Cara forced a fake smile as she nodded. Garrett explained that they were friends and Jourdan was more than happy to hear that, suggesting that the 3 of them could hang out more often since Garrett mentioned that they didn’t see each other for 2 years.

For the whole dinner, she managed to keep her composure around him.  They were constantly flirting, giggling, and laughing. It was heartbreaking to say the least, with a bittersweet smile; she excused herself, reasoning that she was full. Whiskey was available; she filled her cup full and neither one of them noticed as she went to the balcony where the Seoul city life was in view.

“I guess reality is just too painful.” She croaked out, tears escaping her eyes as she took a sip of her whiskey and stared at the other half of her ring. “And it’s better this way. Everybody’s happy.” She forced a bittersweet smile as tears escaped her eyes. “You should forget the person who couldn’t even love you right.”

She unfortunately remembered that night. She got home and he was packing up, she asked him why, it wasn’t working anymore, sliding the couple ring off of his finger and simply throwing it on the bed. Those 3 words that shattered everything between the two of them. Let’s break up. Then he left her alone.

“I guess this is really our destiny.” She wiped her tears as she chugged down her drink and using every ounce of her strength, she threw the ring somewhere.

Let it go, Cara Delevigne… It’s better this way…
