PROLOGUE

The lab fell silent. You could hear the occasional mutter, but other than that, nothing.
"I've done it!" Shouted Gene Hughes, head of Infunction Corp. Out of the test capsule came a man, around six foot tall. Upon closer inspection, he had the same facial features and body structure as Gene himself. He was an exact replica: a genetic clone.
"Tell everyone to put small needles in my bedroom. I need to update my blood every day from now on," He said. One scientist took a needle from a small jar and walked through the hall. He entered a small room, labelled 'AFTERLIFE RESTORATION'. Inside the room were two other people, standing next to what looked like a coffin.
"You ready to do this?" Said the scientist.
"Of course. Mr Hughes has taken this experiment too far. If he wants to change humanity, then he will. Just not in the way he imagines," Replied one of the others. The scientist opened the coffin and, without hesitation, injected the needle into the corpse.

The next day, Gene woke up to a needle full of blood next to him.
"Hey, you! Did I take a blood sample yesterday?" He asked. The scientist was the same one that had taken the blood sample of the corpse the day before.
"Yes, Mr Hughes, sir," He replied. Gene took the needle and headed to the lab. He then opened up the needle and tipped the blood into a test tube full of green liquid.
"Attention, everyone! Who here wants to be the first genetic clone of yours truly?" Asked Gene. Everyone in the room raised their hand. Without hesitation, Gene put a spray nozzle on the test tube and started to squirt the scientists. Suddenly, one man collapsed to the ground, then ran towards Gene. He picked up a pistol on the table and shot the scientist in the chest, once again dropping him to the ground. Then, one by one, the rest of the scientists did the same, jumping on him and biting his skin. Gene was incredibly shocked.
"No, what are you doing? I order you to let go! No! NO!"

Next to the door stood the scientist from earlier, along with two other men.
"Tell Alpha that the mission was a success. We shall meet at Eliminus City Centre in the next 3 hours," He said. The other two men headed out of the building. This was the beginning of the end.
