The Interplanetary Nationalist Union was about as American as one could get, as far as governments in space go. Imagine Donald Trump being given control of a military, a fleet of battleships, and then was sent two hundred years into the future, and you have a decent idea of the INU.
Unfortinately, time travel doesn't actually exist, so instead of Trump, he INU is less by a man named Komel, who had may as well be Trump, except a bit less orange, and a bit more willing to do evil things for his government.
Komel was notorious for actually taking part in battles for the INU, so, if nothing else, he's undeniably courageous, and determined, but his good qualities end there.
"Forward, brothers and sisters! For the Union!" Shouted Komel over the battlefield, leading his men with courage, and erradicating hostiles almost as efficiently. He killed without emotion, without remorse. He didn't care that he was taking people's lives. If it meant that his government, and therefore, his people, would benifit, doing immoral things didn't phase him.
Making gradual progress across the battlefield, the INU eventually broke through the Voluntairre's defense entirely, conquering the area.
However, after any significant battle to take land, buildings must be cleared of survivors. For this base in particular, 'buildings' meant an underground tunnel system, spanning a decent acre of land.
At the front of the force, during the clearing of the system, was a soldier that went by the nickname "Charmer." More than anything else, his name was ironic, as this man was anything but charming. He was grim and determined. He was a lot like Komel, himself, except Komel seethed with confidence, and it became blatant arrogance at times. Charmer was confident, sure, but he wasn't snarky in the way that Komel was. Instead, he was pure determination, and he showed this ferocious determination in how he mowed down members of the Voluntairre, at the front of the force.
Finally reaching the ending of the tunnels, the INU arrested the remaining rebel leaders.
Charmer was one of the first to bash one of the leaders in the head, forcing them against the wall, and most likely ending their life. The other leaders were soon secured, and Charmer guided the prisoners out of the tunnels, pressing his rifle against the back of his captured enemy. They were taken back to the Capital of the INU, to be interrogated, and more than likely, killed.
