I'm breathing heavily as i'm transported somewhere. I can feel my wrists and ankles being tied, but I know i'm sitting on a cold metal chair. Such a bad idea to put on shorts today, Avery! But the temperature of the chair isn't what's most important; I may die tonight... And I know Skye and her troup are able to kill me in someway. I hear voices and conversations, but no vocal signs of Alexis. Since i've got a headband on my eyes, I can't see her or the persons that are near me. I finally hear steps coming to me, and the headband being taken off of my face.
'' Hi, Alden. '' I look up to where the voice seems to come from, but the strong light hits my eyes. I blink a few times before I can notice who's standing next to me with a large and satisfied smirk. Tyler. Oh how I hate him, and how I knew this guy wasn't good.
'' Where's Alexis? '' I ask through my teeth, tightening my fists even though I know I can't move.
'' How cute! A girl coming to the rescue of her best friend who betrayed her yet, for an asshole. '' Tyler exclaims, chuckling. This guy inspires me so much hate, just in the way he acts and looks.
'' How surprising, you finally admit you're an asshole! '' I exclaim back, then showing him I can smirk too.
'' You sassy bitch, I wouldn't be all smirky in the position you are. '' He replied. And I hate to admit it, but he was right. I was sitting on a cold and hard metal chair, which really looked like an old electric chair. My wrists and ankles were tied to it, but this time not with ropes, but with tight handcuffs. Where the hell did they find these things?!
'' Now, wanna know where your lovely friend is? '' Tyler asks, taking back my attention. I simply nod, and he took an Ipad out of his bag. He turned it on, clicked on something then turned the Ipad to me. I could see Alexis in another room, tied like I was, her face all red and her eyes all puffy due to all the crying. I frowned at this sight and looked away. I couldn't handle seeing my best friend in this condition and knowing that I couldn't do anything.
'' B-, but she said... Sh-, she said that if I came, you'd let her go... '' I stuttered, blinking my eyes so the tears wouldn't fall. He just laughed. I can't believe it. He freaking LAUGHED. I can feel the rage flow in my veins, but I try to calm down.
'' She never said that, sweetie. She said that she needed help, that's it. '' Tyler says, my anger getting higher and higher. '' But i'll let you two a couple of minutes together, so you can have a last talk. '' He continues, smirking. He then walked away, and a men walked in with Alexis, who has a headband on her eyes and handcuffs on her wrists. He sat her on the metal chair next to me, then tied her to it and took off the headband from her eyes. She blinked a few times and smiled widely when she finally saw me.
'' Avery! Listen, i'm so sorry, I know I should've listen to you. It's a bit late to say that, and I know you're gonna say Told you! but I want you to know that i'm really sorry about it, that I forgot about everything we had and threw all of our friendship in the garbage just for that creepy asshole. '' Alexis admitted, talking really quick like she was scared of missing time. Well, she was right about it, we only had few minutes together before... Before something I prefer not knowing now.
'' I forgive you, anyway, it's me who hasn't been able to protect you from him. But please, for our last time, I don't wanna be fighting on who's fault it is. I-, I just wanna enjoy these minutes with my best friend. '' I say, the tears falling down on my cheeks. It hurts so, damn, much. This feeling of knowing this is the last time you see a person you love, a person that was always there by your side during all your life. And this is making me thinking of Niall. In the car, this was the last time I saw him...
'' Avery? '' I hear Alexis's sweet voice say, which takes me back to reality. I turn to her and speak.
'' How did you get there? I mean, why did Tyler took you there?
'' Because Liv told me that Skye and Emma were planning on kidnapping you again, and that Tyler was with them. She said I should escape subtly to Niall's flat. But I couldn't handle that my boyfriend wanted to hurt you, even though we weren't talking anymore. '' She looks down, taking a quick pause, then looked back at me. '' I feel like shit to not have believed you when you told me that he was dangerous, I should have known that all you ever wanted was me to be happy. But I was in another planet, called Tyler. And all he said was true to me, so when he said you were a bad influence to me, I believed him. So, yeah. That's how I ended up here. '' Alexis sighed, looking at me with an honest desolate look.
We stayed like this, looking at each other, remembering every memory of our childhood together. One thing was sure, we didn't want our last time to be us crying.
