Ryan entered his favorite coffee shop where Marco was waiting for him. "Yo Ryan! I couldn't believe how well you delivered that LegLiftDDT!" Marco states enthusiastically. "Yeah, after all that practice I'm glad I finally got it down, but that suplex he did really hurt!" Ryan states. "Hey Marco!" Someone who just walked into the coffee shop states and then sits with us. "Oh hey Joey!" Marco says. "Who's Joey? I feel like I know the name." Ryan says sounding confused and intrigued. "Oh I'm Marcos next opponent in developmental, depending on who wins it will move up to NXT!" Joey states excitedly. "Well good luck then!" Ryan says enthusiastically. Ryan stands up to leave the coffee shop and opens the door to see Will. Will lifts him as soon as he sees him and hits the spine cracker breaking Ryan's tailbone on the concrete. Marco quickly calls an ambulance but gets hit by a spine cracker aswell, breaking his spine. Finally Joey runs away and calls an ambulance while running, they come and pick up both Ryan and Marco.
The next night on NXT Ryan was unable to compete.
Nearly a month goes by and Will is in the middle of a match against the new NXT champion Finn Balor with his undefeated streak. He is destroying Balor until Balor fights back a bit and goes for coupe de grace. Will catches him and hits a spine cracker. He covers 1-2-3. He has been on this streak since he injured Ryan and doesn't intend on it ending.
He went for another 3 months without a loss and eventually becoming the NXT champion. Ryan was sitting at his house, nearly done healing, and hating this.
