He dozes off again shortly after. His face is pretty when he sleeps. I sigh and get up from the chair. I need to sleep. I grab a blanket from the bed and lie on the floor. I close my eyes and try to sleep.
"Bonnie?"
My eyes shoot open and I sit up.
"Yes?" I ask him.
"Is something wrong with my arm?"
I sigh. I had been hoping he wouldn't ask. "It broke in the fall"
I hear a sharp intake of breath then "What about Burtis?"
That must be his horse. "He is fine. I think he might have sprained his ankle though.
I hear a shift from the bed. He must have turned over. "Thank you." he says quietly. "Thank you for everything." I smile despite myself. "Of course! And goodnight." I say. But he doesn't respond for he is fast asleep.
