I hurridly walked through the pouring rain, it soon started to seep through my worn Converse. My left cheek throbbed and I probably looked horrid. I soon came to the stairway of my flat. My shoes squeaked against the linoleum stairs as I rushed to get to the second floor. My legs soon started to ache also but I soon came to view with my flat number.

My hands fumbled with the ring of keys that were held in my sidebag. I finally found the right key, inserted it into the keyhole, and turned, unlocking the door to my flat. My hand reached out to the wall, flipping the light switch. I slowly toed off my wet and mucky Converse, and padded my way to the kitchen.

I reached up into the cupboard, retreiving a mug, tea bags, sugar, and opened the drawer where my spoons were held. I retreived the milk from the fridge and set everything down on the counter. I filled a kettle with water, and set it on the heated stove. I dropped the tea bag into the boiling water, and took a seat at the living room table.

I got out my phone, only to see several messages from Liam, all asking if I was okay. I deleted the messages without reading through them, and opened my phones camera app. I switched to the front camera and gasped. My whole left cheek was red, turning purple, and a bit swollen. It would take a lot of foundation to cover that up.

The tea kettle soon started to whistle, so I walked to the kitchen, turning off the stove, and pouring the scalding tea into my mug. I then added milk, and a spoonfull of sugar.

I sighed, running my hand through my frizzy, slightly damp hair. I decided that after my tea, and shower would do me good. I sat myself down on the couch, stirring my tea and some sort of reality show flickered on the TV.

I took a sip of my tea and warmth filled my body. I fininished it in a short amount of time and headed to the bathroom to shower. I grabbed a towel, a fresh pair of pajamas, and set the items down on the counter. I then started the water and waited for it to get warm. I slipped my damp-ish clothes off and stepped into the steamy shower.

---

After my shower, I felt ridden of mud and rain. My body was dry so I slipped on my over sized t-shirt and strangely-large plaid pajama bottoms that must've been Liam's.

My hair was in a messy, damp bun because I was too tired to blow dry it. I crawled into my comforter and switched off my lamp, just laying there.

Yellow car lights illuminated my pitch black room, and my eyes widened.

Hello! As Allie mentioned before, I'm Jenny :D

I will be writing in this story at times, due to Kayla being a bit inactive. Allie gets writers block sometimes and is absolutely horrible at grammar so I help most of the times c:

Thank you so much on behalf of me, Allie, and Kayla for reading this story and voting for it. This chapter was more of a filler but it does have a cliffhanger which I hope you enjoy figuring out when it comes to the next update.

Again, feel free to comment, vote, or recommend this story! We'd really appreciate it :)
