Alpha at Heart.

Hey guys! this is my first story, and its kinda short. Anyways I'm probably just going to switch to Russets point of view in the coming chapters, unless I specify otherwise. thanks for reading!Sorry if the grammar isn't spot on.

Scarlet awoke to her three pups mewling and nudging her, trying to get her to roll over so they could suckle. She chuckled and obliged them, rolling over. She laughed at what she saw, her only female pup, the one she had named Russet had her two brothers at bay, growling and puffing up her fur trying to intimidate them so she could get food first. Scarlet was fixing to intervene so that whichever of the males had the most of the alpha trait wouldn't harm their sister, that was when she realized the two males were the ones cowering with their tails between their legs. She sat there shocked, she had never heard of any female wolf inheriting the alpha trait.

A few weeks later.

Russet woke to  her brothers cold nose and snout breathing in her ear. She sighed and tried to get up quietly so she wouldn't wake her  family, when she was successfully untangled from her litter mates she sat a little bit away in their den. She looked around  for her mother, not seeing her in the den she pricked her ears and cocked her head to the side,hearing the voice of her mother and another deeper voice she didn't recognize. she crept slightly towards the entrance of their den, peeking her head around the entrance what she saw was her mother, Scarlet with her scarlet pelt that had white undertones, and a bigger wolf, a male she guessed, with a copper colored pelt that glinted when the sunlight hit him, making it look like he was ablaze. The male and her mother were arguing softly as to not wake the pups, "That can't be true! females never inherit the Aloha trait. Are you absolutely sure Scarlet?" "Yes Blaze, I'm certain. you left on a hunting trip and they were born, our beautiful pups." Scarlet said proudly. "Whenever Russet says something to Rowan, or Fire they shouldn't listen, but they do. She's very dominant, when they play, and she always eats first.  She's very much like her father." Scarlet said quietly. Blaze then answered, "I'd like to meet them, soon Scarlet." Russet took that moment to pad out of the den and proclaim; "How about now momma? You said we'd get to meet dad soon, is this him? she walked forward cautiously raising her nose to smell Blaze's shimmering coat, and memorize his scent. Blaze looked down at his small pup, most grown males were afraid to approach him and yet this small scrap of fur, so like his own dared to walk up to him with only curiosity in her eyes. It was then that he realized how far this pup could go, with the right training of course.
