Walking out from the house of mirrors and far away from Baekhyun and his ideas fun, I was greeted with a scare. Only letting out a "shit" and not making a train of profanities, I turned to see who decided to give my heart a test.
"Was that necessary Mr whoever you are?" I asked in between taking in deep breathes.
"If I leave out the scare factor then what kind of fun am I left with then?" He walked towards me after pushing himself away from the wall.
"I'm Jongin but I love it if you call me Kai." He said closing in the space between our faces. I blinked my eyes a number of times signing him to back away and not invade my personal space any longer. But he just stood there, not moving and looking straight into my eyes. Probably trying to find a door to my soul.
"Okay Jong- Kai whatever you want to be called. Having to spend god knows how long with you fun bunch is just bad enough, at least don't invade my personal space."
"Just so you know love, you know longer have any privacy the moment you started to spend with us. Ever." Kai replied as he looked deeper into my eyes. And yeah, now I'm sure he's probably already in front of the door of my soul.
"But I guess you're right. I sound back up a bit so we can continue in the fun. Plus, you've got a long way to go before it ends." He said, finally backing away.
Walking down the steps of the house, we walked towards the centre of the park, where all the mini games were at. The night was almost pitch black and no obvious signs of moonlight. I would consider myself lucky to at least see Kai's footsteps or I'll already have bruises all over from bumping into the rides or just maybe the trashcan.
I didn't bump into anything during the walk, but that didn't mean I didn't bump into Kai when he halted his steps making me hit his back face first. And yes, my nose did hurt. A lot.
"We're here," Kai said in a cheery tone. Even with the darkness filling in my vision, I could still make out the outlines of a booth.
Walking into the booth, he flipped a few switches and the booth lit up. It wasn't bright given that they would not have done any maintenance ever since the place shut down. Even if the lights weren't too bright, it still made me rub my eyes trying to adjust to the sudden change of light.
As my blurry vision came to a still, I saw that we were at one of the booths where you shoot down some pins to get the stuffed teddies.
"Choose a weapon. Don't choose wisely. It's just the same each one of them. We didn't rig anything." Kai said with his words filled with assurance.
"Getting a rigged isn't even part of my worries after seeing what Baekhyun did back there," I replied rolling my eyes in annoyance. But deep down, I was scared of what's in store for me.
Taking one of the pistols, I wiped off the thick layer of dust that's been collected for years now. Having the very fine dust particles travelling in the air and making its way into my nose, I let out a quite loud and obnoxious train of sneezes.
"Sorry, I'm just too sensitive to dust."
Wiping my nose using the end of my sleeves, I centred myself in front of the booth facing the colourful pins. I didn't care about how they counted the scores because I know I won't be getting a prize. Because I noticed that they didn't have any stuffed teddies hanging around.
"Aren't you gonna ask on which prizes you'll get when you hit certain pins?"He asked me with a smirk and looked at me those sinister eyes.
"As much as I'm actually scared to the bones, don't try to lie to me Kai. I can clearly see there aren't any prizes hanging around." I replied as I turned back to face the pins because in no way am I looking into his eyes any further.
