The year is 3333. The human race has evolved significantly in the last 1,000 years since the downfall of the nations. In 2389, pollution in the air released a new form of life and infected those already living. The weak died by sickness and the new became immune. By 2409, humanity almost ceased to exist, that is, until they were gifted.

Two years later, humans were given a mysterious solution to their problems. They were given wings. 'How would wings solve their problems,' you might ask. It's fairly simple, with each set of wings, a person is given a form of magic. Now, if put into the wrong hands the world would be at risk, yet, it has been proven highly unlikely in the last century. You see, only the good may be given power and flight. However, nothing has proven whether or not the good can turn bad.

"Darn it! I'm going to be late again!" Vidalia sat upright in bed. She had overslept once again for the third time that week. She climbed out and raced frantically to get herself dressed in time for work. Ontop of work and her daily life, Vidalia also attended the most prestigious college in the land of Kyrye, Epostious Hall. Upon finishing her frantic scatter, she took an apple from her refrigerator, and ran out the front door tucking the fruit into her satchel. Then looking up to sky with a worried frown, large white feathered wings that looked like that of and archangel sprouted from her back, as if by magic. "He's going to give me so much shit when I get there..." She groans and complains loudly knowing no one would able to hear her... seeing as she's alone for miles. With a pop of her neck, she shoots into sky like a bird taking flight. Without hesitation, she flies into the golden clouds creating a gaping hole. The sun filled the shape to reveal the glow of an angel across the sun flower covered ground. Strangely, in the shape, a glittery substance was left behind on the flowers. What it was, was still a mystery, even to Vidalia.

So up into the sky she flew without a care in the world... Alright maybe one... She is late to work. She works in the clouds, in a castle only the elite can enter. The elite consists of the richest of people with wings that will allow them the ability to even reach the castle. Vidalia is a security guard that works the morning shift. Her job is to protect the secret room hidden deep within the castle. The castle, founded long ago before human's were given their gift, had belonged to a sire of anonymity. Upon discovery, the sire had vanished leaving behind a single note on the doors confined by chains. It read, "Behind this door lies a great danger. Do not open under any circumstances, or face the world's end." Now the castle is used as a hotel, restaurant, and ballroom for the elite. Vidalia, luckily, enjoined her job. She finds it to be quite mysterious...and a challenge.

Just as she landed outside the castle steps, a voice angrier than a dragon, and louder than a siren yelled though the brick walls that confined him. He who was one to be feared among the bravest of men. It was... Nerval.

"Vidalia!"
