The roof of the room was ripped open. A human looked in at us. It smiled menacingly.

"GO!" the Fairy commanded.

"I don't even know your name," I yelled.

"Tanya," she smiled.

My powder puff guide whizzed past the humans head, and I had no choice but to follow. I dodged around the humans as they swung their large filthy hands. These were the same humans that took Hada.

My mind filled with rage. My vision blurred as anger bubbled up inside of me. These, things, took away everything I cared about. I wanted to make them suffer for everything they put me through.

I didn't have to time act on my rash thoughts, because my powder puff guide zipped away and I bolted after it.

A human popped up in my way holding a net. I flew upwards, kicked off of its face and flew over top of him. He turned around in an attempt to catch me, but I was too far away by the time he reacted.

I risked a glance back to see Tanya soar out of the Haven. Her deep blue wings ruffling as she flew up. The humans swung wildly at her, but she weaved gracefully in and out. She soared out of the humans reach.

In desperation, a human threw its net. It missed, but the other humans followed suite. Tanya could not dodge them all. Soon she was hopelessly tangled in a string of nets. She fell to ground. The humans pounced on her like scavengers to a carcass.

I averted my attention to my powder puff guide. It had pulled a long way ahead of me. My breathing grew ragged as I fought to catch up. The humans were lost in the trees.

I caught up to the powder puff. I named it Puffy. In one swift movement I snatched it up in my arms. It squirmed and wrestled with me, but I held it. It grew more and more tired until it wasn't moving at all. I relaxed my arms.

It was kind of cute, I guess. It made a purring sound as it slept. I carried it in my arms as I flew towards a large maple tree. The sun shone through the leaves. The wind rustled the branches. I heard birds chirping as they settled down into their nests. The bark was rough on my bare feet as I nestled myself in a hollow in the fork of the tree. The sent of wood filled my nose. I'd always loved maple.

My mind raced as I processed the days events.

1) The Fairy from my dream was real.

2) She was captured by the humans.

3) Hada was still impossibly far from me.

4) Now I had to undertake a quest to save all Fairy kind.

5) And my only companion was a pink flying powder fluff.

To say I was stressed was an understatement, and that's says a lot, because I never get stressed.

I had no idea how to find the blue orb, thingy. I had no idea what it did. I also didn't know how in the world I was supposed to find the one girl who could open it. My brain felt like it was buzzing, but eventually, sleep found me.

"EEEEPPPP!"

"Gah!" I bolted up, smashing my head. I rubbed my head before lifting out of the tree to see Puffy hovering above my head.

"EEEPPPP!" it screamed again.

"All right, I get it," I groaned as I stretched my arms. "Let's go."

Puffy darted away. I followed as best as I could. Several times it left my sight. I had to located it on the periodically annoying "EEPPP" it screamed.

Out of nowhere, I barreled into it. I ended up grasping it as we tumbled through the air. Once I got us straightened out I realized why it had stopped. I bolted to the nearest tree and pressed myself into the shadows.

It was a Nychterdia Fairy. Its huge bat like wings sliced the air as it hunted. Her face was dark and grim. She had cropped, shaggy brown hair. Her nose was short and round. She had slightly pointed teeth.

Nychterdia Fairies, unlike most Fairies, hunted insects. We tended to steer clear of them. As a young Fae, I heard so many stories, none of them were good. Of course I knew they were fake, or at least exaggerated, but part of me still feared them.

"EEEPPP!" Puffy squealed. I pressed it into my chest, but it was too late. The Fairy turned and flew towards me. I did the only thing that seemed natural. I fled.

She pursued me, and quickly caught up with only a few strokes of her powerful wings. When she was right on top of me, I folded my wings and dropped down. She soared over me, her arms flailing wildly. A smile creeped onto my face. She was faster, but I was smaller and had more maneuverability.

I dodged in and around trees, followed by a Fairy and an angry round of profanities. I was enjoying myself too much, even while holding on to a squirming Puffy. I got too relaxed. That's when I made a mistake.

I glanced over my shoulder. A ridiculous smile was plastered on my face. With one hand I held Puffy. With the other, I grabbed a branch and pulled it back. I realesed it and it smacked the Fairy, sending her tumbling backwards.

I flew straight into another Nychterdia. His strong fists gripped my arms while the one that had been chasing me caught up. She was uninjured other than a red welt above her eye. Her eyes gleamed with anger and triumph.

I struggled. There was no way I was letting this happen to me again. No way. I kicked back. The Fairy grunted but didn't give out. He was a lot larger than the other Fairies.

"Skotadi," the Fairy holding me said in a gruff voice, "will you do the honours?"

"With pleasure, she replied maliciously. She raised a meaty fist and clocked me over the head.
