CHAPTER 26:

Kimberley's POV

I picked up Sarah in the noon and we headed out for our ultimate shopping trip. Sarah as usual was very animated and bubbly, laughing every so often about nothing. She was also a chatterbox running her mouth a mile a minute. I've always loved her to bits. She and Cheryl were like partner in crimes, but as with the case of everybody else, when it came to me, she was overprotective even though she was like only days older than me.

"Ok! So, do you know where she is taking you? It will give us an idea of what outfit to go for. We could always go for the proverbial little black dress but it's been done to death! How about we start at Harrods? Always a good bet." She rambled on while grabbing my arm and towing me with her.

"I have no idea where she is taking me. She wouldn't let me know. Wanted it to be a surprise she said." I answered the only thing I had retained from her ramble.

"Ouuu, Cheryl is playing the woman of mystery! And obviously one who understands the importance of romance!Lucky Kimbers!" She pouted becomingly at this before her signature grin made a reappearance. "Alright then, tell me what happened at and after the club?"

"Umm well, we talked about erm stuff" I lied knowing she would tease me to death anyway.

"Hmm...obviously, with a slightly drunk Kimberley in the bedroom alone with her, Cheryl must have definitely acted like a Saint" she arched an imperious brow at me. Obviously, one look at my reddened face gave her the answer she was looking for.

"Are you guys going to move in together now?"

"What?" the conversation shifts were leaving me dizzy.

"Can I be the godmother of your first born?" She continued, not noticing what shade of the red color I was becoming.

" Sarah we just started seeing each other" She gave me a look at this. "Do you not understand how a relationship works?"

"I only understand how Cheryl works, so I wouldn't be surprized if she is already fantasizing about how to propose to you.. Anyway how did she ask you out?"

I had no idea what any of the answers to these questions had to do with shopping for a date outfit but considering it's been ages I was out of the dating scene, I was ready to give Sarah the benefit of the doubt. With that in mind, I gave her the details of the last time we had met...from kissing at the club and discussing our feelings after, carefully avoiding what we did after the discussion part.

Sarah sighed and gave me dreamy eyes. "That is so sweet! And romantic! Nothing over the top. I have just the thing!" With that, she pulled me to a certain section of Harrod's.

The dress Sarah had picked out for me made me feel sexy, sensual and sophisticated all in one. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. The dress was a retro style Paris dress that hugged every inch of me perfectly. It had tiny sleeves covering only my shoulder blade and a heart shaped neckline. The skirt portion was pencil skirt style with a small flare at the base. The dress itself was an emerald green with a black neckline outline. There was a small black belt that accentuated my voluptuous hips and made my waist appear narrower.

I had never once considered myself to have a good figure but I was definitely reconsidering. I grinned slowly and Sarah followed suit behind me.

"How do I look?"

"Sexy" She said and wolf whistled. I shoved her playfully away from me before closing the door of the trial room.

An hour later, Sarah and I were at the bar section of the Mayfair hotel, enjoying a martini and sharing laughs. I had finished the day with a great dress, three inch peep toe black satin shoes and accessories for the outfit.Sarah as usual insisted we stop for drinks at the bar at the hotel here since she was tired. We talked for some more and left before Sarah could get totally hammered.
