Chapter 01 [ The News ]

They say that love could turn your life into new...

They say that love can break you into pieces...

They say that love will lead you back...

And They say that love do exist wether you're not awake.

But for me all this sayings are not true; love can't turn your life into new, love can't break you into pieces, love will not leads way back because love doesn't really exists at all.

But what if I found love in unexpected way? Will I believe in love or will I ignore it?

Iyan ang salitang buhay na buhay saking puso. Salitang hindi ko noon ginusto pero pinilit iparamdam sakin.

Ilang taon na nga ba?

Ilang taon na nga ba akong ganito?

Iyong tila hindi na marunong magmahal pa. Tipong kinalimutan na kung paano maging masaya sa tuwing uuwi ako sa mansyon.

Sa lugar kung saan ako lumaki, kung saan marami akong natutunan pero nawala nalang nang parang bula, lumobo ngunit pumutok rin kaagad.

I stopped talking with myself. I'm here at our gloomy balcony looking at the dark gray sky.

Hindi pa naman gabing gabi pero sobrang dilim, mukhang uulan. Wala kasi akong nakikitang mga bituin ngayon.

Wala pang ilang sandali ay may mga naririnig na akong malakas na boses mula sa loob kaya naman nagdesisyon na akong pumasok upang magtungo saking kwarto.

"Shit!!!" Bungad ng isang boses na kilalang kilala ko. "I'm really tired of you Jacob Lawrence!" He is Tristan, our eldest brother. Gigil na gigil syang nilapitan kaagad ako pagkakita palang. Siya ang isa sa may-ari ng boses na narinig ko kanina sa balcony.

"A wedding with unknown bride? What's with you huh?!" He is nagging. I assumed already that he red the news, that's why his throat is on top of the lungs.

"So? What do you care?" I bat my eyes on him. Pakialamero.

He noticed the way I look at him so he clenched his jaw and form his fists into circle. Tch. As if I'm afraid!

"Will you please stop being childish you are not acting as your age!" His voice is in range of anger and frustration. He's mad. I know and don't care anyway. Hindi ako nabubuhay para sundin kung ano ang gusto nya. I have mine and it's my right to decide on my own.

"So what are you trying to prove here again? That you're the good guy and the perfect son while me being a black sheep?"

"I didn't brought it up! What's my  concerned is this shitty thing! He said then threw the newspaper he was holding straight on my face. "Are you really out of your mind?!Alam mo bang nilalagay mo sa alangan ang pamilya natin!" Ang pamilya nga ba ang iniisip nyang inilalagay ko sa alangan o siya?

Alam na alam kong tatakbo siya bilang Mayor sa distrito ng probinsya kung saan sila nakatira ng kanyang asawa at nag-aalala siya na baka masira ko ang reputasyon niya.

Do I look like I care about his political running career? That wasn't my prob anyway!

"Hindi 'to kalokohan..." I took the newspaper as it fell on the floor and give back to him. He just ignored me and let the newspaper fell on the floor again. "I'm serious. Do not interfere in any of my decision." I firmly said.
