I try my best to never let you in to see the truth
And I've never opened up
I've never truly loved till you put your arms around me - arms by christina perri--
Twenty-five years old Louis Tomlinson was quite lucky at life. See, studying psychology while his father was a therapist, meaning that he already had an office, was a good thing since Louis got to start working right after he finished college.
Though, the blue eyed male was still really new to this even after a whole year of practicing that job. It was just really hard for him to stay still in that black chair behind his desk and not run over to the crying person to comfort them. Maybe Louis was too sensitive for that job or maybe he just needed more time to get used to it, like his father said.
He was currently in his office, reading over the page with a list of his new patients' names written on it along with the time their appointments were.Checking the time in his phone, he nodded to himself and fixed his shirt a little. He was dressed in some black jeans and a button up white shirt with his favorite black vans covering his foot. his hair was styled back and the male was trying too hard not to run his hand over it and mess it.
Louis hummed to himself and slowly made his way to the wooden door, taking a deep breath before opening it. He didn't know what he was about to face; who was the person he was going to meet and what they were going through in their lives but he would help them, he had promised that to himself.
"Harry Styles?" he read over the list of names before slowly looking up and searching around for that Harry Styles person.
And Louis almost grimaced when his eyes landed on a teenager with brown curly hair and green eyes. Teenagers were the most difficult to handle. They usually didn't come with their willingness. They were most likely forced by their families to come and they were so stubborn that you couldn't even get a word from them at times.
This wasn't going to be easy.
"Come in," Louis politely said and made way for the young boy to walk in, sending a small smile over to a pretty woman that looked a lot like that boy. She was probably his mother, Louis guessed.
The man closed the door behind him and cleared his throat awkwardly when he noticed the young boy studying his face with his head tilted to the side.
This wasn't going to be easy.
"You look twenty." a low voice said and Louis raised his eyebrow at the boy's words but he decided to let it go.
"How're you today, Harry?" He asked gently on his way back to his desk, picking some books up as he was searching around for his pen. He grinned when he found it.
However, the teenager ignored the man by asking, "How old are you? You look twenty." he repeated his previous words and Louis had to keep himself from rolling his eyes at the boy.
"I'm twenty-five, is there a problem with that?" He mumbled but Harry just shrugged it off.
Sighing quietly, Louis shook his head a little. "take a seat," he said, nodding to the couch as he sat down on his chair with his notebook on his lap.
Harry thankfully did as told but once he sat down on the couch, he grimaced. It was too comfortable and the boy didn't want to feel comfortable in a place like that. He sat on the floor.
Louis looked over at the boy on the floor with his eyebrows raised on his forehead in confusion. "do you prefer the floor, then?"
Harry nodded.
"Alright," Louis sighed. "Lets start," he added as he wrote down on the paper the date of that day in order to take notes of their appointment, sticking his tongue out as he wrote, a habit he had from grade three.
And Harry didn't find that adorable. Not at all. He shouldn't. He had to hate that man as he promised to himself that he wouldn't tell him anything about his life.
This wasn't going to be easy..
