“The assignment must be handed over before tomorrow eleven. Thirty marks will be deducted from the final exam if you failed to present it before the given time. Now come on people this is not that hard. All you have to do is…”

Elisha watched his jaws moving. He looked at the students above the spectacles and said something more. Then he made a joke and laughed by himself. That was how her Whitewood life spent.

She couldn’t believe what happened yesterday, not even now. But the glass-less window frame held rich evidence. It took her about an hour to clean up the mess created by her honorable guest who took the liberty of entering into her room through the closed window.

‘We’ll meet again, 507’ he said. What did he mean by that? She thought. Was she awarded a code-name already? The strong pain suddenly struck her stomach made her eyes squint. TJ had not shown up yet. If he didn't come she would have to hold until the next day. That was demanding since she was surrounded by all she could eat food, all the time.

She was almost sure that if she jumped on to the lecturer and ripped him apart into million pieces her peers would applause and thank her. She slowly closed her eyes and tried to get some sleep. The background voice of the lecturer created the perfect atmosphere for it.

“Elisha!?” The lecturer groaned.

“Yeah?” She said waking up.

“Please pay attention, I'm not talking to myself here.” He said laughing through his nose.

“Sure.”

She kept her eyes open but she was thinking. What was with this whole thing? A strange man gave an injector with blood to TJ, and then promised him big money, if he infected her. Mindless boyfriend went ahead and did so, making her a blood thirsty beast. But why her? He said that they specifically asked for her. What was the mystery that wrapped around the incident? After forgetting all those, when she finally came to peace with who she was, there showed up the stranger yesterday. He called her ‘507’. Her friend Nikki was next to her. The way she looked at her she seemed really concerned. 'Should I make her forget everything?' Elisha questioned herself, as the bell rang making a commotion in the classroom.

“Why aren’t you breaking up with TJ?” Nikki asked for the hundredth time. They were sitting on one of the benches that were built along the boarder of the ground.

“You just don't get it okay.” Elisha replied carelessly.

“What I get is he almost killed Kyle and he's killing you too.”

“I'll live.” Said Elisha.

“El, This TJ thing has to stop.”

“There are things you just don’t know. Just stay the hell out of my life!” Said Elisha. "Don't worry about Kyle, I cured him."

“You can't just cure him and make him forget everything every time TJ beats him up!”

“Yeah?” Asked Elisha sipping on the tasteless fruit juice.

“Yeah.” Said Nikki. "Why aren't you just making TJ forget about you?"

"I told you I can't." Said Elisha. "I tried it, but he just freaks out and smiles every time I do it."

"If you can do it to anyone, why not TJ?"

“Nikki do me a favor and keep looking at my eyes.”

“What, No!”

Elisha grabbed the worried girl's shoulders and made her stare into her, not giving her a chance to move. Even though Nikki was very troubled, gradually her facial expressions of it began to fade away. Nikki had a blackout, she felt as if she was sleeping, but awake. Her conscious mind was blocked as Elisha crept directly into her inner self. Elisha slowly murmured, “Kyle is fine… TJ is fine… Everything is normal…” They both kept staring at each others' eyes for a couple of seconds with eyes wide open. Then suddenly Nikki blinked and looked away. Elisha kept staring at her to see the results.

“This assignment is a pain in the ass.” Said Nikki.

“Totally…” Said Elisha offering a smile.

Recess was over. They went back in. She could have gone to home but there wasn’t anything to go for. Her favorite place, the Whitewood River was there. But it was not that comfortable in the middle of the day. Sun rays tortured her skin. It was the best plan to stay inside the air conditioned room and go out in the evening.

She got through the lectures even though it was hard. After the session ended, she headed to the river. It was placed between the College and her home. She walked on the road that was beautiful and lonely. She was the only one whom was heading to the lonely town. She walked the road taking gentle steps.

To the road’s left, there was a mountain, where a little forest was taking its place. To the road’s right, there was a cliff that ended up with Whitewood River. Where the water was clean enough to see the deep end. The sound of water rippling enhanced the feeling. It was quite peaceful and calm. They way she liked.

As Elisha made her way on the lonely road, she noticed the car that was parked to the left of the road. It looked as beast observing her. She was at the right side of the road, where the rippling of the river could be heard clearly. She crossed the road and went to the car. Someone could have been in trouble. Someone could have been lost. And she was thirsty.

She went for the window running her finger on black tinted vehicle as she walked. Taking off her shades, she examined inside for a person. It was deserted. At once she felt something hitting her neck with whistling sound. She ran her hand and touched the place that was a bit painful. She felt something similar to a needle on her neck, stuck deep in. She felt a dizziness. The beautiful view and peaceful sounds were blacking out. She grabbed the car and breathed heavily. In the next second, she fell down to the ground unconscious.

All this was passed on to a person through a scope of a sniper, who was settled on the mountain.

“507 is down. I repeat, 507 is down.” He said pressing the device that was fixed onto his ear.

“Bring her in.” It replied.

He took his eyes off the weapon’s scope ran down the hill. After making it to the car, he opened its trunk and placed the weapon inside. Then he went for Elisha. He picked her up and brought her to the car, then tossed her in on to the sniper. He gazed at the girl’s innocent face, but what he saw was a deadly creature.

“Let’s go home… Elisha.”

He slammed the trunk.
