A Short Time

Hding out

Remus was pacing back and forth. It had been a few weeks since Harry had set him straight. He was back with his pregnant wife who was in her fifth month. "Moony sit down, you're gonna ware a whole in the floor" James joked but, he was being serious at the same time.

Sirius was sitting on the couch. He laid back against Tonks who shouted. "Get off me dog."

Sirius sat up as Remus sat by his wife on the worn couch. Placing his hand to her stomach he smiled as he felt his son or daughter kick. He was very grateful to Harry and hoped he got to tell Harry so. "So James, any word yet from Harry?" Asked Remus.

Harry had told his father a few days ago that he didn't need his help. James was crushed. Harry believed him about being his father but, Harry being Harry refused him. "No, he is being a git. I don't blame him though. He has a lot on his plate" said James.

Lily walks over and sits on James lap. She sighs. Lily is very worried for her son. "It will do no good to worry, Lily" Andromeda said.

She had snuck in and sat in the worn out chair that was done in Hufflepuffs colors. "I know Andy" said Lily using her nickname.

Andy wanted to scream. She hated being here with her daughter, son-in-law, and his friends.  Andy sighed as she sat back. "Mum, are you alright?" Asked Tonks.

She was very worried for her mother. Most days she didn't eat or drink anything.  Tonks placed her slender hand on his worn one.  James took a drink of his tea while Andromeda, turned to look out the window choosing not to answer her daughter. "Did you hear me, mum" Tonks repeated.

Andromeda waved Tonks off and got up. She went back to the room she was staying in. Tonks shifted to where she was leaning against Remus while her legs were propped up on Sirius. "Nymph, I think your mum wants to be left alone" said Sirius.

Tonks leaned up and smacked the back of his head. She hated that name but, Sirius kept calling her that. "I get that Sirius and don't call me that" said Tonks.

James chuckled at that. He loved watching Tonks and Padfoot go at it. "You knew that would happen, Sirius" James said.

Lily had a big smile on her face. She had truly missed this. A knock sounded at the door. Remus jumped up at once. "Who's there?" He asked his wand raised.

Whoever it was did not respond. "Answer me"Remus spoke in a soft voice.

Hermione smiled as she went to answer. "It is I Hermione Granger with Harry Potter" said Hermione.

To say the least Hermione was scared. What would she say about Ron when they asked. "Prove it. Who am I and what I am?" Remus said.

"You are Professor Lupin who is a werewolf married to Tonks who is expecting a baby" Hermione replied.

Remus opened the door. He knew Harry would be Harry. Harry hugged Remus tight as Hermione ran to Tonks. "Wo you are big" stated Hermione.

Tonks laughed at Hermione. Trust Hermione to state the truth. "What are you doing here and where is Ron?" Remus asked Harry.

Harry let go of Remus and sat in the chair. Hermione burst into tears as Harry frowned.. "Well, we need a place to stay and Ron packed up and left us" Harry replied darkly.
