Skyler P.O.V
I sat behind Nora as she tossed all her clothes over the room looking for something to wear. I noticed that she only liked blue mostly the light turquoise blue, it did fit her skin well. I pushed my shoes off just wanting to watch her undress in front of me .
"Can Grand and Jorge connect with you and me?" She asked suddenly.
"Yes, but don't tell Grand that, she already thinks I work for her." She giggle unhooking her bra.
I just watched her but what she told me earlier kept coming to mind, what happened with her. I know she doesn't want to talk about it but I cant help her if she doesn't. I stood putting my shoes back on as I walked out the room. She didn't notice as I closed the door connecting to Art.
"Art meet me in my office now." I said heading that way.
I spotted the triplets talking to Jorge and it made me think that are mates but Nora is right how did they now that. He didn't shift till recently, but I can see the glow on there faces and his. I walked pass them into my office when Art walked in after me.
"Yes, Alpha." He said closing the door.
"I need to know about any panther packs in Illinois." I said grabbing my work phone.
"Yes, well I have already looked into that." Art said nervous.
"Why?" I asked really wanting to know.
"Well, Nora is my Luna and I wanted to know how her people are, so she can feel at home here." He said with a weak smile.
I know he is telling the truth because Art just didn't lie about anything even small shit. I looked him over and for a moment listened to Nora. She was still looking at clothes, that's a good thing gives me more time.
"Well what did you find out?" I asked him.
"Well first they aren't call packs but prides and there is no alpha just kings in there world." Art stopped talking so I nodded at his information.
"So I found that it was 6 in Illinois but today its only 3."
"Why what happened?" I asked quickly.
"Well after a King died from cancer, King Howard but his second and brother in law, Henry took his place after his death and since has been taking over most of the other prides around causing a lot of war in panther world." Art pulled out his phone looking for more information.
I had to think about this before I acted, because none of this panther shit is my business. I could just kill the guy for hurting my kitty but then that would cause a war with them and I already have a war coming with my father.
"I'm ready." Nora connected with me.
"Alright I'm down stairs in my office." I said standing.
"Art keeping looking for any information you can on King Henry." I said walking out.
I ran into Nora at the front door and looked her over, I a blue dress with black flowers all over it. I grabbed her hand and looked her over.
"You look beautiful kitty, lets go." I noticed the blush on her face and that made me smile.
Nora P.O.V
I sat next to Sky looking at his hair slight move in the wind, his hair got long since we first met and I wonder why he didn't cut it.
"I wanted it to be a little longer." He said nonchalantly.
I didn't say anything back because that this point its no real reason for me to talk if he is always going to in my fucking head.
"You don't like me in your thoughts?" He asked glancing at me.
"Well I don't have any privacy anymore." I said looking at him.
"Alright." He said simply but still keeping his eyes on the road.
I turned looking out the window thinking how amazing he was, one moment nice and the next a distant jerk. That's the part of him I hated but I can't lie I was starting to like him more and more. This week without him was hell for me but he seemed fine with not being with me. I just hope these meetings go well with the other packs, Xavier and Rose where nice. I hope that maybe the others don't think less of him because of what I am. Xavier and Rose are perfect in every way, both wolves, both rich, both white.
"Nora!" Skyler yelled at me making me jump.
I looked over at him with clear anger on his face and I noticed that we stopped.
"Get out the car!" He yelled again and I jumped out.
He talked with the young boy before handing over his keys and looking at me. I walked to him and he grabbed my wrist slightly pulling me into the nice restaurant. We walked in and tons of people rich people at that all turned looking at us and I moved behind him some.
"Alpha Skyler nice to see you again." A old man said shaking his hand.
"Alpha Ben nice to see you and this is my Luna, Nora." He said pushing me up some.
I shuck his hand and he smiled as I did the same to his Luna. I stood there shacking hand with about four different packs first the Alpha the Luna, The every ones beta and mate. Finally we made it to Xavier and Rose, and I hugged Rose while Xavier and Skyler shuck hands. Xavier then walked to me giving me a big hug and Skyler gave him a hard look making him back away.
"How's things going?" Rose asked knowing my answer.
I looked at her giving her an tired, sad look making her laugh and I did the same.
"Well last one is coming up and I have to stand here, the latest Luna found her Alpha and we all have to meet him." She said as I heard Skyler introducing himself.
"This is my Luna Nora." Skyler said making me look up.
My heart almost stopped from the sight of my worst enemy standing there with a big smile on his face. Henry reached his hand out to me but I just backed away remembering that smile of terror, that smile that chased me in the woods all night. My back hit the wall but my eyes stayed on Henry as Skyler moved in front of me blocking him from my view.
"What's wrong?" He asked with his eyes glowing.
"That's Henry." I said breathless.
His eyes turned back to normal as he grabbed my arm pulling me out of the place as Xavier and Rose followed.
