After a good 20 minutes of getting strangled by my aunt and friend, they finally let me go.
"Well Maddie, I think that answers your question of them remembering you!" My dad said. I turned and looked at him, remembering he was still here and put my hands on my hips and raised my eyebrows at him.
"Don't you have a plane to catch?" I asked.
"Oh crap! Well I guess I'll see you in a week. Love you sweetheart! Don't forget to call me tonight!" He answered while kissing me on the head.
"Bye Dad love you too." I said as I watched him climb back in the huge truck. I heard it roar to life as he turned the key. He gunned it as soon as the engine started. Well then, I thought as I turned around to face the two girls. Just then my silver IPhone 6s started to ring. "Sister" flashed across the screen.
"I have to take this, I'll be right back." I said as I was walking toward the park right next to the apartments.
"Hello?" I answered into the phone.
"Hey big sis! How's it going? I just wanted to make sure you made it!" She said all in one breath.
"Slow down! Sheesh! I just got here. And I'm fine! But I have to go. Love you! Have fun with your friend in Hawaii!" I said.
"I will, Love you too!" She replied. I hung up the phone remembering that I left my duffle bag on the ground in the parking lot. I rush over back to where we were standing before, only to find it vacant. I look around, I noticed the same guy I saw earlier with my duffle bag. I get a closer look at him. His long, dark brown hair was falling into his eyes. His jawline was perfect. He had a little birthmark right above his left eyebrow. And his eyes were the best thing about him. They were a bluish-greenish with hints of gold. I noticed I was staring and stopped. He glanced at me, I quickly put a blank look on my face. He just smirked. I sighed as we entered the apartment. This is going to be a long week.
