The Maze

Chapter 2

We jumped and everything turned white. A few moments passed and I noticed we were inside the ice cream shop I had in the dream, or at least I was. I didn't know where Jamin, Dylan, or Denise were. I looked around and noticed a piece of paper reading, "You must find your friends, and after you do, you come back here you guys have 1 hour to find each other. Up ahead there is a button push it when you are ready to start. When you and your friends are ready you will all start at the same time. You can use anything in this room to help you find them, you all are in different rooms. Remember think outside the box."

"Hmmm, what would there be in an ice cream shop to help me?" I thought to myself. I started walking around and saw a bag of waffle cones. "Well if we have to get back here then I could use this to leave a trail!" I grabbed it and put it on a table next to the button. I kept walking around I found some batteries and a backpack, I checked in the back room and found a knife and 2 water bottles. I stuffed everything in the backpack except for the knife and the waffle cones. My stomach growled and I noticed I was STARVING, but there was nothing to eat here aside from ice cream, cake, and yogurt. I decided to get yogurt because it wouldn't give me a stomach ache. After I ate I looked around a bit more and I also found a small fire axe. I was ready I pushed my button and 1 of the 4 lights turned on. A few minutes passed another light turned on, then another now we were just missing 1. It felt like years but the light turned on. The door opened and I headed out, then I noticed that the ice cream shop was in the middle of a giant mall. "Of course." I thought. There were thousand of people there and the mall was giant. I looked at a map and saw that there were four giant halls and a center and there were four red dots at each end of each hall that read "you are here." I started dashing towards the center it was very difficult with all the people in the way. It took about 15 minutes to get to the center. I stayed there in the exact center and waited. Not long after I got there Jamin and Dylan also got there. and moments after Denise got there. "Okay did you guys also get the note?" I asked.

"Yeah, it said to get here then follow you to your place." Jamin confirmed.

We started walking towards my hall, but less than half way there a trap door appeared under us and we fell through. It was a slide it wasn't very long but we were at the center again. "Guys we have 35 minutes left" Denise informed while looking at a stopwatch. We ran this time towards the shop and the same thing happened at the same place. We tried again and noticed that where there are no people is where there are traps. When we were about half way there the temperature was freezing on one-half of the hallway and the other half was scorching. We tried to stay in the middle but it was impossible with all the people there. We managed to get through the heat and cold without dying, we were almost there, just a few more feet but then the door closed. "We still have 15 minutes!" Denise reclarified.

"Hello!" The speaker greeted. "Since this puzzle was way too easy for you guys lets kick it up a notch, you guys must fight these people. Don't worry they aren't real people, but they still fight back. If you survive the next 15 minutes you win. Oh and here another one of your friends. She will help you fight. Good Luck."

Gaby suddenly fell from the roof. "Ouch, I'm okay!" She Informed.

All the people started heading towards us. "Does everyone have a weapon?" I questioned.

"I don't" Gaby replied.

"Here Gaby take this axe." I said while handing her the axe. "Okay guys we need to fight a giant mob of people for 15 minutes lets do this!"

I took out my knife and waited for one of the people to come to me while everyone else rushed in. One of the people came rushing towards me I simply dodged him and then pushed him towards a wall then I ran towards him and stabbed him. When I did so he simply vanished. I was relieved I thought that they were real people even thought the speaker said they weren't. I dashed towards the people and went on a rampage stabbing people left and right, but then Someone came from behind me and grabbed my arms and then the people started punching me. Then I saw Jamin and he "killed" all the people that we punching me and the one holding my arms. I saw Gaby hitting people with the axe and Denise right behind her with a dagger. Dylan was fighting the mob of people with a BUCKET!? The 15 minutes passed by fast. "Good job on this puzzle, but it will become harder, this was just to test how well you could fight the whole time. Next, you must escape this place. Good luck." The speakers said. "Oh by the way you can keep Gaby until she dies, then you will receive someone else."

"Oh great, how are we going to get out of this place?" I complained.

"How about we go through those thingies!" Dylan suggested.

"Thingies?" Jamin asked.

"Yeah, those thingies that give us air conditioning." Dylan explained.

"You mean the air vents? Gaby asked.

"Yeah that!" Dylan Said.

We headed out to find a ladder to get to the air vents. We found one in a tool shop. We started climbing up into the air vents. I was first, It was very difficult to climb it with only one good arm but I managed. I was about half way there but then the ladder started tilting backwards. "AAAAAH!" I shrieked.

End of chapter is a cliff hanger YAY!
