Hello anyone still reading this ancient story(: haha I never thought that this story would have so many followers. It's been a really long time but I feel like since so many people like it I should give it an ending. Cut me some slack on this one, I haven't written this story in ages. I hope you like it and it's a decent way to end this Glee Story!

* Oh, and shameless self promotion coming. I'm now writing a Harry Potter fanfiction about the great grandchildren of our beloved characters and a new threat. If it sounds interesting to you, go on over and give it a read!(: I really appreciate feedback. Okay thanks bye *

I've made up my mind. I know what I want to do. But will it work? Can I get Rachel back while keeping Santana and Brittany? Can I be popular without alienating my old friends?

I walk into school, my apparel an odd combination of old and new. I am wearing my Cheerios outfit slightly covered by one of my oversized beige cardigans, and my high pony is accompanied by glasses. I smile and wave to the football players who grin back, and I give cheerful hellos to the glee clubbers. So far, so good.

"Hey, Q!"

"Santana, Brittany!" I greet perkily.

Santana looks me up and down, and for a moment I am worried. But then she gives me a small smile. "I can work with this."

Silently, I hold out my arms. The two girls take one on either side, and we walk to class together. "I'm sitting with Rachel," I say as we enter the English classroom.

"I figured," says Santana.

"We're sitting with you guys," Brittany adds.

I can't help but smile. "Hey Rach." I sit down next to my best friend who gives me a hesitant but warm smile.

It looks difficult, but Santana manages a nice, "Hello."

"Hi Rachel," Brittany says. "I like your sweater."

The smile that brightens Rachel's face makes all the indecision and worry this morning totally worth it. "Thank you!"

--

It's lunch, and I hope what I do next goes over well. Passing by the football and cheer table where Santana and Brittany are waiting, I make my way over to the table that Rachel, Artie, Kurt, Mercedes, Tina, and - butterflies flutter - Sam are sitting. I sit in between Rachel and Kurt. "Hey guys."

Mercedes narrows her eyes. "And who do you think you are sitting here, Miss Cheerio?"

"I..."

Rachel looks at me, and I see her brown eyes soften. "She's my best friend. She'll always have a place next to me."

I face her. "I'm sorry. For everything. It'll never happen again."

"I'm sorry too!"

We hug, and I'm holding back tears. I really do have the best friend in the world.

"Have room for us, Q?" Santana and Brittany wait by the table.

Surprisingly, Rachel is the one to answer. "Of course!" She shoos Kurt and we all move down a few seats. "Sit next to Quinn."

Once they're seated, I pull my three friends into an awkward hug, to which Santana protests immensely. "I love you guys."

"Don't go sappy already, Q," Santana groans, but she is smiling.

"Uh... Could we join you?"

We all look up in shock to see Finn, Puck, and Mike.

I blink. "Why?" is the first thing I blurt out.

They all shuffle nervously. "We, uh, thought we should sit with our fellow glee clubbers."

I don't think my smile can get any bigger. "Sit."

Despite my fears, no one threw food at me for abandoning my athletic companions to join my glee friends. Instead, I'd gotten the most popular kids in McKinley to sit at the 'loser table'.

--

I make my way to glee rehearsal with Santana, Brittany, Rachel, and Tina. We laugh and go to enter the choir room when a hand reaches out and grabs mine. I turn to see Sam, and my friends stop as well. "Uh, you guys go ahead."

"Okay." Rachel, bless her, scurries the others inside.

"Um...so...?"

Sam looks at me, and I feel my breath leave me. "You've been acting...like yourself lately."

"Yeah," I say with an awkward laugh. "I think I blacked out for a bit there, sorry about that."

"That's what you're going with?" Sam asks with a chuckle.

"Yep, that's my official excuse. But honestly...I'm so sorry. Who knew that high school popularity could go that badly to someone's head?"

He grins. "As long as you're sure this is who you really are. I don't think I've been around long enough to tell."

"It is, I promise." I cross my heart. "Anyway, we should get in there."

"Wait," he turns me back around yet again. "If this is really you...then, I like her very much."

I blush. "Well, uh, thank you."

Slowly a grin creeps back onto his face. "Anything to say to me?"

"Oh, uh, I like him too! That is you. You said her so I was trying to go with that, but it didn't exactly work out cause you didn't know who 'him' was. I like Sam. I like you -"

My rambling was cut off by Sam's lips crashing into mine. The kiss was warm and deep, and I felt dizzy when he pulled away. "Now I really know it's you again."

"Why's that?" I ask breathlessly.

"The way you'd always trip over your words. Don't worry, I happen to find it adorable."

I'm smiling like an idiot as he locks his fingers in mine and leads me into the choir room.

"Quinn, Sam, thank you for joining us," Mr. Shue says as we enter. "Okay, Sam, time to practice your duet with Rachel!"

"Oh, uh, Mr. Shue... I'm gonna have to back out."

"What? Why?"

"Sorry, Rachel, but I'm waiting for the right duet partner." He looks down at me, and I feel as though my stomach is on fire from all the warmness I feel.

"Well, alright... How about you, Finn? Want to give it a shot?"

"Uh, sure, Mr. Shue." Finn steps up to the front with Rachel. She gives him an encouraging smile, and slowly he reciprocates.

"Alright you guys," says Mr. Shue. "Don't Stop Believin' from the top!"
