As the water droplets fell down my back from the hot shower I continued to let my mind wonder. Jason wasn't in bed this morning and my mind just seemed to be all over the place. I sighed as I rinsed the suds of soap off of my body.
This is the third time in a row Jason hasn't come home. No call no text nothing and although I remember him saying he was leaving for "business" he should have been back by now. I didn't want to worry myself to much because of course I trust Jason I just want our relationship to get back on track. Jason is my boyfriend of three years now and our relationship has been Rocky for this past year.
I dried off and stepped out the shower as I almost jumped out my skin seeing Jason sitting on the seat of the toilet. I sighed in relief thanking god that it was just him. I ignored him wrapping the towel around me and walking into my room. Drying myself off I removed the towel and placed on my undergarments.
I grabbed my lotion and started to rub it onto my skin as Jason walked into the room. "So you ain't gone talk" he said as he toward over my small 5'2 frame. I tried to walk around him but he just pulled me back in front of him. "Man talk to me" he said moving my loose strings of hair out my face. I swatted his hands away and just looked at him in pure disgust. "You been gone for three days straight I ain't get no calls no texts nothing at all now you wanna waltz in here and expect everything to be peachy" I yelled anger clearly in my voice.
"First of all lower your tone and remember who you talking to and you know I was doing business so don't even start with that man". "Ok and your so called "business " is coming before me I was here before you got it and I'm trying to be here now but u making it pretty hard baby boy ". He didn't say anything he just walked away like he always does and I was slowly getting irritated with this whole relationship. I continued to get dressed and sprayed on some perfume once I finished.
I didn't feel like taming my hair so I just put it back in a sleek ponytail with a part in the middle after all my extra necessities I grabbed my keys and hopped into my car . I drove to work as Kevin Gates Jam blasted through my speakers. Once I finally pulled into working I shut the car off and hopped out. Walking through the door I was greeted by my assistant Ashley. She let me know all the things I had to do today. I Sat in my office chair looking over all the things I had to do for today. Owning your own boutique can be a bit overwhelming at times, between the bills the customers, then the employees it's hard. I opened up my laptop powering it on and going to my emails seeing nothing but the ordinary.
I replied back to a few emails paid a few bills and ordered some more stuff for the store. Afterwards I went out making sure that everything was neat and in place. "Hey lani can you take those boxes to the back and stock them please" I asked. "Sure boss lady". I sighed as I watched the customers come in and out of the door. Business was booming but my relationship wasn't doing to well. I just needed a get away.
A couple hours had passed and the shop was finally closing. I went into my office gathering my things and then I locked up Hopping in my car I began to drive home. Once I got there I walked inside immediately stopping as I seen rose petals leading up from the door to the stairs. I walked up the stairs as I looked at all the scented candles as I smiled a little . Walking to my room I seen Jason sitting at the end of the bed smiling. "Hey baby" he said walking up to me grabbing my hands. "I know I haven't been doing my part lately but I'm trying just bare with me okay baby". I nodded letting him know I understood him. I stripped out of my clothes and got into the warm bath he prepared for me as he fed me strawberries and massaged my shoulders. This felt so relaxing.
I leaned my head back into his chest as he continued to massage me as I popped another strawberry in my mouth. Maybe this will work out for us.
