Enoch stared out of the window at the bitter weather, the rain colliding with the cobbled ground. He got up, out of his chair and paced around the hallway. Not really thinking about anything. Just walking.
Minutes passed before Enoch reached for his duffel coat and boots and cautiously stepped outside. The streets didn't speak to him. The little village in Northumberland was quiet enough without rain. And there was something eerie about that.
He splashed around in the puddles and ran around, not caring when the rain splashed up his legs. This was where Enoch was happiest. Alone.
