"Silent, in the trees"

Tyler began walking towards the forest. There was a ery feel to the place as he slowly took a step towards the fence line that separated him and the trees. As he approached the fence he took a deep breath in, anticipation that someone or something was going to be waiting for him. Earlier that day he had received a text from a private number, he choose to ignore it. He walked a bit into the forest and sat down, leaning against a tree. He pulled his writing book out of his pocket and began to write the lyrics "I know where you stand, silent in the trees" he heard a voice. "Hello?" he asked. "Tyler run" the voice said. It sounded a lot like his best friend Josh who had died a year ago in the same forest. Nobody knows how he died, his body was found beside the lake. "Tyler you're not safe here". Tyler looked over and saw a figure standing there. "Josh?" "TYLER RUN!!" Tyler stood up and started following Josh through the forest. "RUN FASTER TYLER!! ITS COMING!!" He began sprinting after Josh. He heard footsteps behind him and he began speeding up. He reached the lake, the exact spot that Josh had died in exactly a year ago. "JOSH" he yelled at nothing, hoping his friend would appear again, so he could say good bye, just one more time. He slowly turned around just to be faced with the person who had been chasing him for all this time. "Who are you?" he asked. A deep voice responded with "I killed your best friend last year, and now it's your turn." "It was you. You killed him. I've spent a year mourning my best friend's death thinking that they would never find who killed him, and now I've found you, and I have no clue what to do." he both cried and screamed at him. Tyler looks down and sees a gun being pointed towards him. "Why do you feel the need to kill innocent people? What did Josh ever do to you?" He asked him while tears were pouring down his face. "Any last words?" the killer asked Tyler. Tyler began singing the song he had been writing earlier, the song that he wanted the world to hear. The song he was most proud of. Nobody would hear it. Tyler sang the lyrics "why won't you speak, where I happen to be? Silent in the trees, standing cowardly" a gun is then shot and Tyler collapses to the ground. Josh's ghost is the last thing Tyler sees as he falls into the water. The killer pulls off his mask and smiles "two down, one more to go" he says to himself.
