Chapter Three

(Lia's POV)

"Looks like someone's happy." Drake said while looking at me.

"What?" I asked. I can't believe I'm smiling! Maybe I'm just excited for the challenge. I've never been to a challenge like this.

"Tell us, what happened to you? Where is Lia and what did you do to her?" Kathryn asked.

"Chill, guys. Is it bad to smile happily?" I questioned.

"We're not saying its bad, but after what happened to you? First, you and Mark are seatmates in Math class, and he always annoy you. Second, you and Mark are also classmates in Social Studies! How could we believe that you are happy?" Blessie said.

"Well, miracle happens. I have a beautiful mood and aura today, so don't you dare ruin it." I warned them.

"Did something happened yesterday after class? As far as I remember, Mark insisted you to meet him at the backyard after class." Drake said.

"Wait, how did you know that?!" I shrieked.

"Blessie told us." He answered.

I glared at Blessie but she just shrugged. Well my glare only works on Kathryn.

"So now, tell us. What did the two of you talk about?" Kathryn asked.

"It's nothing important." I replied.

"Then why are you such in a good mood?" Blessie asked.

"Well like I told you, miracle happens. It's just a miracle thay I'm in a good mood today. So don't ruin it cause it won't last long." I responded. "By the way, where's Ian? I've never seen him since yesterday." I said trying to change the subject.

"Well, I called him yesterday night and asked him why he was absent, he said he's too lazy to get up so he didn't made it." Drake explained.

"See?! How did that guy became the top 5?!" Kathryn yelled then everyone in the cafeteria looked at us.

"Calm down. Don't forget that Ian is also an intelligent guy, he's just lazy." I said.

"And it's your fault for being out of the top because you spend the rest of the day shopping instead of studying." Blessie added.

**FLASHBACK**

"Kathryn! Where are you going? I thought we're all supposed to study together?" I asked when I saw Kathryn going on a different direction from us.

"Um.. for now, I can't." She said.

"What? Why?" I questioned.

"I'm going shopping today." She answered.

"What? What about your studies?" I said.

"Oh, I can handle that." She replied.

"Just come with us. You can do your shopping anytime but not today." Drake insisted.

"It's not just any shopping time. It's a once-in-a-life-time shopping!" She exclaimed. We furrowed our brows at her. "Because it is an unlimited shopping time!" She added.

"Um.. you can also have your unlimited shopping time anytime. Come on, you are one of the rich students in this school." Blessie said.

"It is an offer from my mom so I won't waste this chance." Kathryn said.

"Okay, okay. Fine. Anything for you. But don't waste this chance too, okay? If you fail this, you're definitely out of the top." I said.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." She said.
