It was a normal day for me until I got an invite to my first party in a long time. I looked at the invite then up at my friend. I barely knew her and I was very confused to why this dark skinned little girl that I just met a couple weeks ago would want me to go to her b-day party. "Hey, can you see if you could come to my birthday party? I know it's on short notice but I love to have you come" She said to me and I let out a small giggle smiling, "Okay I'll try." I got up from the table and grabbed my bag and walked out of the cafeteria right as the bell rang. I walked to my first period and continued on with my day glancing at the invite every now and then smiling happy that actual someone at this school would be nice to me.

I jumped onto the back of my dad motorcycle before completely strapping on my helmet. My dad started the bike and zoomed off where the my friend's birthday party is. "Flower Street! Dad! You pasted it!" I yelled through my helmet so he could here me. "Yeah, Yeah! Calm down I'll just turn down here" My dad told me as he turn the corner to Church Street and we made our way to the old house over grown with vines.  I giggled and walked up to my friend and she introduced me to everyone there.

But, there was this one guy there. He was with his sister but when I first saw and made eye contact with him it felt like my heart skipped a beat and my brain just felt as if everything came a sudden halt. "H-Hi. I-I'm Jason" I said shaky as I out stretch my hand to shake hands. He chuckled and took my hand then firmly shook it "I'm Tyler." I smiled and ran over to the bouncy house and poked my head inside it before crawling around. The other people at the party followed behind me and we started to play a game of freeze tag. We played for what seemed like hours until dinner was ready and the sun was 2 to 3 hours away from setting.   Me, Tyler, and his sister Jasmine met up again after we got our food and used some chair to make a table. "Best idea ever! Ten out of Ten!" I said chuckling smiled as I could a bite out my hot dog. "Yes, it was a very good idea, Jason" Tyler sad id to me patting my back gently. Jasmine huffed rolling her eyes and played a game on her phone as we all ate.

I glanced over at Tyler feeling my ears become red. "Hey kid, what's wrong? You not feeling okay or somethin?" Tyler asked looking at my ears. "N-no. I'm fine it's just that I'm getting so hot from running around my face is becoming warm" I said smiling shaking my head to move my hair so it would hide my bright red ears. I quickly got up to throw away my plate and crawled back inside the bouncy house and sat it a corner hugging my knees tightly hiding my face. {I think I like boys. Well this wouldn't be the first time I ave felt like this. I have been feeling and thinking this ever since I got to third grade and it became stronger when I got to Jinks.} I let out a deep and heavy sigh before lifting my head to see Tyler sitting down a couple of feet away from me. I jump and my face turns bright red, he chuckled and pats my head, "Hey kid. You okay?" I Nodded my head and giggled "Yeah I'm okay." Tyler got up and helped me up, "Well my parents are here and so are yours so I guess we could at school if we ever bump into each other" I smile and bow head "Okay I'll keep an eye out for you then, Turtle." I then ran out of the bouncy off and strapped on my helmet before waving good bye to everyone.

My dad started up the bike and I climbed on excited to go home to quickly crawl into bed and fall asleep. On the bike ride home all I could think of was seeing Tyler again and if he was interested in men to and if we had a chance of being together.
