If your reading this story your probably looking for some cliché story where boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy marries girl, and bippity boppity boop, Happily ever after, right? Wrong! This is the story...MY story of freshman year.

Every first day of school is tough, from kindergarten up, but I have to say, freshman year is the worst. All those upper classmen yelling at the new kids, To get out of their way, the teachers staring down the class trying to figure out who will be their next teacher's pet, and horrible, horrible lunch food.

Now, I know your thinking I'm just some whiny chick, but how would you feel if all of your friends got put in one class. All of them except you. And the two you did get was the blonde bimbo and the girl who hated you in fifth grade, but due to having classes together you're forced to be friends. Yeah, I didn't think so.

"Welcome freshman! To your first year of high school." Mr. Loccer boomed over the loudspeaker. "I would like to introduce myself..."

"Hey, Amanda!" Ashton whisper-yelled trying to get my attention.

*Wait hold up! Before I get any further you guys are probably wondering who I am. Well to be exact my name is Amanda Leigh Brooks and my life sucks. I am currently attending my first day at the "freshman academy"; the WORST part of high school. I know what you're thinking: "what's the freshman academy?" Well my dear, the freshman academy is for all the "freshman" of high school. It's full of unreasonable rules, weird kids, and crappy teachers all rolled into one. Right now I am sitting in the over-sized gym zoning in and out to our new principle. Now back to the story.*

"Psst! Amanda!" Ashton repeated in frustration. "Amanda, I know you can hear me!"

"Yes, Ashton?" I laughed, dragging out the words. Ashton has been my best friend since kindergarten. He is funny, sweet, and utterly amazing! The only problem is that he got put in that one class with all the right people, the one that I'm not in.

He looked at me with the biggest smile that I've ever seen. "Guess what?!"

"What?" I couldn't help but to grin back at him.

"Well, I talked to Jordan," He continued, "and I, using my good detective skills, found out that she has almost all the same classes as you!"

"Oh my God! She does? That just made my day!" Jordan is another great friend of mine. She just transferred from Whitley Academy, a neighboring private school, to public school. To be honest, I kind of felt sorry for her. I mean Whitley is a nice place and, aside from the new remodeling which makes it look more like a university than a high school, ours isn't that great.

"Ha! Well I'm glad that made your day. Hey, look, I wish I could stay, but I've got to head to class. I'll see you at lunch?" Ash asked turning to look at me before he walked off.

"Aww, do you have to go? We could always skip!" I joked laughing at how he was actually considering the idea. "You know I'm just kidding, right? And yes, I'll see you at lunch! Have a good first day."

"You too Amanda." Ash replied before smirking and walking away. Hmm..that's weird why was he smirking? Oh well, off to first period.

"Hey, wait up Amanda! You have French first right?" Oh, now I know why he was smirking.
