~ Levi's POV ~

His screams, cries echo off the alleyway walls but all silent.

Why?

I walk, slowly at that, then stop.

He stops. Hand holding the bloody wound on his thigh. Then looks up at me, bandanna covering half of his face but the moons light brightening up his eye's.

They're beautiful. They sent me into a dream like trance. Another tear slips his cheek. Bandanna slipping down ever so slightly by a small sniffle.

"Speak your name"

My gun is still aimed at him. Shaking. Though I tell myself it's because of the cold.

"Why!" I yell.

I take one frightful step forwards towards the thief, murderer.

"What was your reasoning behind everything!" My ill-temper gets the best of me "Answer me!"

Another tear.

He turns. Looking away. And stands.

He falls.

But tries again.

Shaking, he turns to me and points.

I don't understand.

"Hanji!" I yell into the walkie talkie connected to my shoulder "Get your ass here now!"

"Sir, yes sir!" She shouts back, the radio in the car no longer heard.

"And you" I step forwards, three feet from the boy "Don't even think about escaping"

His knees buckle, but he steady's himself.

"Don't boy" I re-aim my gun "I won't miss this time"

"Stay down!" Hanji's voice come's from behind the boy's "Arm's behind your back!"

He tries. Fails. Cries.

The minute the hand leave's his wound another tear comes only for him to re-clamp his hand over it.

"He's wounded!" Hanji yell, putting gun back into her trousers strap. "Levi!"

The boy freezes again.

Hanji run's up to him. He flinches at her touch. He hit's her. She falls.

"Hanji! That's it!"

I charge up to him. He spins around looking over at me.

I hit him.

His hand leaves his wound up to his cheek.

Bandanna falling off his face. One hand covering his cheek the other pulling back up the hood.

His thigh wound is forgotten. Anger building up inside of me as Hanji jumps back to her feet.

"Show yourself" I shout.

"Levi he's got something!" My eyes fall from Hanji to the hand in the boy's pocket.

A gun.

He aims at Hanji. I aim mine at him.

His hand is shaking, body trembling, but I stand strong.

"Boy put the gun down" Hanji talks calmly, her hand slowly, creepily reaching for her own gun.

The boy's gun rattles in his hand against Hanji's head but his eyes are focused on me.

Good.

The moon is now covered by the mist making my eye's squint through the darkness.

The boy makes his move. Though it's to late. Hanji's gun is in her hand, ready, waiting for it's next shoot.

She elbow's him in the stomach, him hunching forwards but nothing escaping his lips. Then her knee goes to his face, he groans, his own knee's buckling and falling forwards. Slipping out of his hand his gun falls to my feet.

He shake's his head, Hanji now has a fist full of hair in her grip.

My eye's stay on his all time as I lean down to pick up the empty gun.

"There's no bullet's" I point out to Hanji opening the bullet holder and holding it upside down.

"Why then?" She questions.

"Tch. Just take him in. I'm tired" She nods and pulls out hand cuff's from her back pocket.

The boy's in pain, it's shown all over his face.

"Siren's?" Hanji questions looking behind her at a load of blue and red lights.

"I never asked for back up. Look's like Erwin didn't trust us to do our jobs"

"You can say that again" She says now knelled down behind the shook up boy "Hands behind your back. Now"

He still doesn't move.

"You heard her, or do you want another shot in the other leg?"

"Officer Ackerman is all alright over there?" Another officer asks running up the alleyway to us.

"Yes-"

"Shit" Exits Hanji's mouth as the boy kicks Hanji in the face and charges over to me. My gun was back in my pocket and I had no time to react but that's what shocked me, I didn't need to react.

No harm came my way.

The boy knelt before me, picking up his bandanna and placing it back over his anonymous face before standing to face me.

His eye's. My weak point. Stared right though me as if searching for something but nothing to be found. Though I did the same.

He was taller then me but it didn't matter as his hand reached out for me. I was frozen. Shocked. But oddly felt rather calm.

"Who are you?"

Silence.

"Speak" He shock his head and retracted his hand inches away from my face back to his side.

"Stay down or I'll shoot" Yells the new officer as more feet, more officer, join behind him.

"Get down" Another shouts.

The boy reaches for his bandanna as if to show me his identity until...

'Bang'

The boy's eye's widen. Even though he wasn't hit.

"I missed!" A woman officer yelled. "Civilians behind him!"

The boy stops. Don't stop.

I reach my own hand out to him, he doesn't move but stares me in the eye.

I stop mid way and he steps back.

"Officer Ackerman what are you doing, get him now!" Hanji's voice bring's me out of the trance as I reach out to grab him, failing terribly.

He ducks under my arms, poking the nervous point in my side making me fall side ways on to he floor.

"Go. Go. Go!"

It's to late. The civilian's stare at us in both fear and confusion, the boy speeding past.

"He's heading for the bridge!" The other officer's footstep's disappear.

Some tracking down the boy's foot steps, the other heading back to their car's.

"What the fuck was that?!" Hanji bellow's towering over my frozen body on the floor. "He's was at hand's grip and you didn't even try to move! Do you know how bad this makes our reputation? Fuck sake Levi get yourself out of la-la land and find him!"

"He's-he's..."

"He's what Levi? He's What? A murderer? A thief? Whatever the fuck he is he's under our order's to capture and up hold" I stand wobbling "We were assigned to this mission because even Jean's team failed. Do you want to go back and having to say the same thing?" I didn't answer, the sirens echoing off into the distance. "Didn't think so. Now wake yourself up and go get him!"

I do just that.
