Light from the streetlight fell on the lone figure walking down the road. Even under all those layers that covered any distinctive features of the person, it was obvious that it was a woman. Bright locks of gold glinted in the wane light where they had escaped from under the woolen cap. The figure came to a standstill when she heard a truck rattle by behind her. This late in the night, there shouldn't have been anyone on this road. Nobody was supposed to be here. This was her secret, her last resort.
