Analah pov

Lex was currently dragging me along with him to his house two blocks down from Hoover Avenue. I was extremely irritated and when we finally got to his house I yanked my hand away and crossed my arms. Lex looked back at me and gave me a questioning look. "Analah?" I started tapping my foot against the step impatiently,"What were you and my momma talking about?" "Some school stuff now come on." Lex tried to grab my arm again but I wouldn't let him.
"Tell me or I'm going back home..." "I convinced your Mom to let you hang out with me for the day..and she said I have to have you back before your dad comes home from work, ok?" I bit my lip silently deciding whether or not to believe him. After a while though I gave in and finally went inside his house with him. We walked up the stairs and to his room. Lex bellyflopped onto his bed and I had laid on his back lazily, running my hands through his curly brown hair. I turned my head and whispered lowly into his ear,"Let's watch a movie Lex..." Lex turned his head towards me and I could feel his breath against my face. As I leaned in closer it was like my body began to feel warm and tingly. His eyes were on my lips and my eyes were on his... I could almost literally hear the roar of my rushing blood in my ears. The air around us felt electrified and everything felt as if it were going in slow motion. He's going try to kiss me! So I quickly turned my head and pretended to be looking at my poster of my favorite singer, Jhene Aiko. "Doesn't she sing great?! Oh my lord you should hear her voice when she sings!" Lex sighed lowly but forced a smile my way and nodded. I could easily decipher frustration, sorrow, and longing in his eyes but decided not to ask about it. If it was something he wanted me to know he'd tell me when he felt comfortable no matter how much it pains me to see him that way....  Hopefully he will always be easier to read like this...
