Hiccup's POV
"So,uh,Heather,as you may know,the dragon races are coming up."I said,as Toothless flew usthrough the sky,with Windshear and Heather right beside us. Heather nodded, "Yeah,I heard about that. Are you going to race?" She asked. "I... uh,maybe." I stuttered, "Anyway,I was wondering if you would like to join this time?" I asked.
"Sure! I'd love to!" Heather smiled. "Great! You better get practicing! Race you back to Berk!" I laughed,as Toothless zoomed by Windshear and Heather. "Hey! No fair,you got a head start!" Heather laughed,as Windshear sped up to catch up to Toothless.
*Late that evening,on the beach*
"What do you think,Hiccup?" Astrid asked him. "No way,Astrid. You know you don't like Snotlout." I said to Astrid,who just asked if she should consider going out with Snotlout. Who would even consider that?
"Well,yeah,but can you imagine how happy he would be?" Astrid asked. "Since when did you start caring about Snotlout's happiness?" I asked. "Uh,I... Ugh. I just creeped myself out." Astrid said,rubbing her arms. "Yeah,you creeped me out,too." I said. "I need some sleep. See you tomorrow,Hiccup." Astrid said,going back home. "Goodnight." I said,looking back out on the sea. I sighed.
"Hey Hiccup." Heather said,putting a hand on my shoulder than sitting next to me.
"Hey Heather." I looked at her and smiled,then looked back out at the sea,and the waves crashing against the beach. "Everything okay?" Heather asked. "Yeah,everything's fine." I said,still looking out at sea. "What's up?" Heather asked. "Wha-what,nothing's up. What do you mean 'what's up'?" I stuttered,then shrugged,and looked back out at the sea again. "Hiccup." Heather said. I sighed. "Fine... I was just thinking... Uh,actually,Heather,can I ask you something?" I blushed. "Yeah,sure. Anything." Heather smiled.
"Okay,well. Heather,would you wanna hang out again sometime?" I asked,rubbing the back of my next. "Sure!" Heather beamed. "Alright!" I smiled. "How about tomorrow? We can go exploring." I said. "Okay. See you tomorrow." Heather smiled as she left.
I smiled at myself as I headed home.
